Out of the Bubble
I don’t usually post random news items, but this was too amusing not to share. Knowledge of the fact that approximately thirty million people are tuning in every week is different than actually confronting some of them. A Las Vagas jaunt this weekend for the final four seems less like R&R and more like pandemonium… [youtube:http://youtube.com/watch?v=Fx8ZXkm2vIA]

I know! I feel bad that David has to go through this kind of stuff from now on. He’s gonna have to give up possibly one of the things he’s going to miss since going on Idol: the ability to walk around anywhere in peace. If he’s even intending not to be run over by a hoard of shrieking fans, he’s gonna have to stay indoors FOREVER.
I think David had the forsight to understand that there is a downside to his dream, and this is it. He seemed to handle it with a great giving smile on his face. This is the part I am not worried about.
Hey Rascal!
Oh I think David handled the situation very well. He was so present and connected with the fans when he smiled and shook their hands. It was a genuine appreciation. Aww. He’s just so pure!
The craziness and public hounding that is a part of being a celebrity is what I think David is least comfortable with. He dealt with it graciously, but you can tell he’s a bit flummoxed by all the girls screaming for him. I hope he just decides it’s what you have to deal with in order to sing and doesn’t turn away from the industry because of the media pursuing him and insane fans. I assume he won’t because I think singing is nearly as important to David as breathing.
I really love this kid. I am driving to Murray to attend his homecoming--800+ miles one way. I hope they let him sing.
Where is it to be held and what time will it be held? Can you go early to get a good seat? How can I get these questions answered?
I hope David breaks out with a little soul. I can’t see him being too much of a rocker, but I think some great soul music would really shake up the naysayers. I hope to high heaven this cute, sweet, WAY talented young guy wins Idol! He really deserves it, in my opinion.

I think David is less flummoxed about the screaming girls as we think. I was watching a youtube of him singing several years ago, the girls were screaming even then. Maybe the number is growing, but the reaction is the same. He needs to get use to it. That is part of his life now.
David has pure heart, his humility will lead him to know what are the expectations being a STAR. He was in this process at the early age, the only difference now is the whole world knows him. As a supporter of David, we need to pray for him constantly that he will remain humble as the world idolize him. In addition, we need to pray for people who surround him that they will remain true to him and will not hurt our David. We have seen young superstars who live in a miserable life, and we don’t want our David to lead that path. I have so much faith with David, I can see how much he appreciate his idolizers through his graciousness, smile, and the delivery of his music. He is amazing! What an American idol. He will be entertaining us for a long long time, so keep your faith and love for David deeply and trully in his best and worst time. David is an inspiration, and I thank him for giving me life to live. God Bless David!
