Was this youtube video removed, Rascal? Which one was it? I’m curious…
Josie . July 9, 2008 .
Rascal I know how you feel -- the smile at the end, while he is waiting for the moment to finish the song, is breathtaking and so full of joy.
David’s food for his own soul is US. Everytime he steps on that stage and performs to the “thunderous roar” (great words Janey), if energizes him yet again to go beyond what any of us could ever imagine.
I will look forward though rascal, to you finding your voice so you can put it into words for me/us.
bigsky . July 9, 2008 .
Ah! I must have caught you just as you were posting it, Rascal. This IS an amazing performance — and his “delight” at the audience’s response (around 3:13 or so) was so funny…. nice to see him “feeling” the feed back live (vs. through votes).
bigsky . July 9, 2008 .
Tinuviel: If you’re out there, I have a question for you -- could you drop me a line at: bigskybcs@yahoo.com? Thanks.
Kait . July 9, 2008 .
Rascal, that song, combined with the best-smile-in-the-world at 3:16, would be worth the cost of sitting among even ten thousand screaming teenage girls. Wondering how long until you give up and buy the ticket?
As for myself, I have a ticket. But I’m seriously considering buying another and driving across the state to see him again without the family in tow. I want to meet the buses and talk to David and behave a little thirteenish.
caseydog . July 9, 2008 .
As of yesterday, everything is confirmed: I’ll be ‘live blogging’ Saturday’s Idol show in Tacoma, including the pre-show meet-and-greet. Hoping to be able to post photos and video promptly after the show -- and I’m praying the quality is decent.
I’ve found a way to use the excuse of ‘journalism’ to endure the screaming teens and see & hear David live, and meet him in person. I’ve been in the news business for 20 years, and maintaining an unbiased perspective always comes with the territory -- but this will be a challenge.
If Rascal doesn’t mind the pimping, I’ll post a link to my coverage on Saturday. And there will be an e-mail address too so you can provide feedback and ask questions throughout.
I’m getting shakey just thinking about it! Cheers to all …
rascal . July 9, 2008 .
No problem, caseydog, pimp away. I’ll be glad to post your report here if you like, too.
Kait -- I’m not saying I’ve lost my resolve but I will acknowledge that it might be eroding…
Josie . July 9, 2008 .
Hi Caseydog! It sounds like you’ll have a ton of fun! Hope you can keep your composure I will look forward to your report and pix.
musicao . July 9, 2008 .
Unbelievable performance. Chills from head to toe. seeing him up close, feeling each note like that..truly blown away by it….
Also wanted to shout out to Janey from the “subversive” thread. Loved your comment. And the way you concluded “quietly with “Heaven” David appeared”. Hard to believe all that’s gone on since.
caseydog . July 9, 2008 .
Dang it! I had this nice long post composed but then lost it somehow. Arrgghhh!!! Anyway, here’s the short take:
Thanks, Rascal. And Hi there, Josie! I hope I can live up to own high expectations on Saturday.
So I’ve been thinking about questions to ask David, assuming I can corner him for a few minutes (and not go fangirly):
- Your next two shows are in SLC. Are you excited? And are you prepared for the likely pandemonium? Will you get to spend time with family and friends?
- Are you able to work on the album while on tour? If so, how’s the going? I’ve read that there’s still a chance that a song you’ve written might make it on the CD -- Is that still a possibility? What kind of feel do you think the album will have -- more pop, a ballad or two, a mix?
- You’ve said that ‘the connection’ you make with listeners through your singing is what drives you. If fan reaction on this tour is any indication, you’re excelling at this. Can you tell me more about this? As you’re choosing and practicing songs, is this something you’re constantly thinking about?
- On Web forums and on Youtube, people are always remarking how you almost always sing the tour songs slightly differently from night to night. Does this just happen or do you rehearse and say to yourself: “Maybe I’ll try it this way tonight …”?
- And finally: Are you any more comfortable with the sparkley suit? Is there any chance fans will see a different look before the tour is over?
That’s it! Lemme know what y’all think.
thatguycansing . July 9, 2008 .
Speechless, eh? Somehow I think this will be one of many speechless moments! That voice and that smile just draws you in!
Thanks again!
daisychain . July 9, 2008 .
Electrifying. That’s what I want David to know. In one of the things I read or listened to yesterday -- tv guide, I think -- David said that he thought his set of songs for the show was tame or slow or something along that line compared to Cook’s upbeat set. Caseydog, please let him know that his songs are electrifying! Moving! That the beat doesn’t have to be uptempo and loud for the impact to be earthshaking.
I am a journalism professor (and freelance features writer on the side) and I have a couple questions you might be able to answer about the media and interviewing David. Thanks!
Also, I really liked your proposed questions to David. I am also wondering if he is recording on his off days and how they are logistically managing that? Perhaps flying people out and using a local studio in the city where the tour happens to be?
Me2 . July 9, 2008 .
caseydog, I find that DA seems to sometimes lose the question if there is too much prefacing going on. There might be lots of background noise and people distracting him so…..keeping questions shorter, LOL, he’d still give you one of his famous rambling anwers. I think I’ve heard the word, improvisational singer used (his dad jazz teachings coming thru?). We want to hear answers to questions that others haven’t asked yet and we already kinda know what type of songs are going into his album (radio friendly, pop song, a few ballads/connecting songs and not likely any songs written by him). if you want me to cite you my sources/reading material, pm me at site teamarchie.com -- same name (Me2).
Freo . July 9, 2008 .
Casey,
I thought of a couple other questions to consider for your list. I liked your questions. I am soooo tired of the repeated girlfriend-dad stuff-crap-type questions he gets asked (I will use these as examples of bad interview questions this fall in my Print Media I class!) and it will be fun to hear his responses to your questions!
Here’s some other ideas I just wanted to share--take or leave them!
--The tour is grueling with a different city almost every day. You’ve had vocal problems in the past. What kinds of things are you doing to care for your voice and avoid strain?
--You have mentioned artists whose careers you follow. You’ve only been on the tour a short time so far, but is there anything about touring life that has surprised you so far? Anything that confirmed what you already thought touring life might be like?
--Have you had a chance to visit any LDS churches on the tour so far? Because it’s been impossible for you to attend your home church, how do you feed yourself spiritually while on tour? How do you think the whole AI experience has helped you grow in your faith?
--Also, other Idols such as Jason, Brooke, and Kristy (and perhaps others I don’t know about) also express a strong spiritual faith. How do you support each other in this area?
caseydog . July 9, 2008 .
Good advice and suggestions about the questions. Thanks!
Freo . July 9, 2008 .
Me2, excellent point! I plan to use David as an example when I talk about interviewing in my journalism class….how to keep the interviewee on track. I think that follow-up questions will help with that. I think that his answers’ smoothness will improve as he gets more media experiences. I know he felt a little intimidated by the Larry King interview going into it, given that it was a more serious interview, but it’s amazing to see his improvement already.
Me2 . July 9, 2008 .
The feelings conveyed by david and the emotional connection that I feel during this performance is unreal…right to the soul.
daisychain . July 9, 2008 .
I watched this again and I thought about comments you made, rascal, many posts back about how David performs when he “owns” the stage or “owns” the song. I think that’s what we see. He knows the songs so well now and has performed them enough now that he owns them so he does what he wants with them, and the result is different and stunning every time. The emotion and feeling and energy that he emotes with each note is exquisite! Pure pleasure to listen to. And, I almost feel exhausted for him at the end of the song because it looks like he pours himself into it totally -- like finale night. How can he do this 50 more times?
Then I’m reminded of an interview of Richard on a SLC radio program talking about being at the Jazz game at the end of the day of David’s homecoming. They were up in one of the private suites to watch the rest of the game, visit, be with family, etc. and he said David had his ipod on and he was just kind of dancing to the music he was listening to. He asked david if he was tired (after that long day! I would be exhausted) and he said he wasn’t. Richard’s comment was “oh to be 17.” So, hopefully his youthfulness helps him get through it all. It sure seems like he gives 110% or more to each performance.
I can’t help but think that all these experiences he’s had packed into a year are a catapult to him in his dream career. He’s a fast learner -- and we will be the beneficiaries.
Me2 . July 9, 2008 .
Freo, great questions…abt his voice, his impressions of tour, religion…things that David feels strongly abt…
Caseydog, I’d like to know about his inspirations for his songwriting (according to his dad, he’s written songs) and what type of songs he’s writing; how he stays in touch with his family (esp his youngest sister who adores him) and friends; what are the biggest things he took with him from the Idol experience; who he would like to do his first tour with; ..and LOL -- will he be interested in doing an Asia/international tour (I live in asia).
Freo . July 9, 2008 .
Me2, I didn’t know you are in Asia. I have thought about this: I personally believe that David could be huge in the Asia markets. I’ve only been to Japan, and briefly to Singapore and Malaysia, but it seems like his singing style and voice would really appeal there. Has David gotten much buzz in Asia yet? I am not sure if they broadcast American Idol through a satellite network there or not. I know it is broadcast via four-hour delay in Australia. Fox sent Michael Johns to Australia briefly to do some press right before the finale.
SynnJynn . July 9, 2008 .
I have been reading our sight for a while now. Then you dissdappeared(misspelling intentional ) . I was going throught withdraw for a while but you came back:) I can only handle one addiction at a time. Plz dont to that to me again This is the first time I commented because there are so many great posters here and felt intimidated. Decided to come out of lurking mode just to tell you how much i love your sight. Lol I was so excited about this video. I came here, as soon as I saw it, wanting to see if you had it, and your speechless OH well I guess it happens to the best:)
Bookaholic . July 9, 2008 .
I love all the commentary as usual. I’ll be at the Tacoma concert (be still, my heart!) so will miss the live feed. I’m liking the questions suggested.
Can’t think about questions I would like answered at the moment coz I’m a little knackered. Watching David sing this song on the video really takes it out of me. I cry every time I watch it. I get to a certain point and then I fall. I can’t stop the tears. There is something other-worldly about David’s ability to feel so deeply in a song and then convey that passion to us.
Well, YOU KNOW what I mean. Gosh, I’m undone! Gotta go recover, but I’ll be back. You know I will. He’s like a magnet to my heart so there’s no choice in the matter.
musicao . July 9, 2008 .
12 Daiychain I second that comment to the moon.
Caseydog, nice set of questions but please tell David for us all that what daisychain said there is the truth. He doesn’t need to rock out on a song to rock our world. The earth is moving under our feet with every performance. All he needs to do is what he’s doing now. We’re with him all the way.
Bookaholic . July 9, 2008 .
Well, maybe one more viewing for the road.
Isn’t that always the way it is with David? He leaves you wanting just one more…then one more…then one more, and so on. It’s hard to get away. I hate to confess that a lot of my life is being neglected currently. I’m old enough to know better but thus far it hasn’t helped.
elannbo . July 9, 2008 .
Every single time I watch this video, I am moved to tears. Chills, chills, chills! Every single time I watch this video, I think of somebody else that I want to share it with! I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have ‘done wore out’ everybody I know, emailing videos of David singing, David being interviewed, David acting silly, David being David! I am sure that they just hit the delete key when they see me coming! In fact, I simply don’t hear from a lot of these folk anymore, period. Oops. This kid is phenomenal! I have never seen or heard another performer that connects with his audience on every level the way David does. It stymies me that not everyone on the face of the planet isn’t equally moved! I need to find some way to keep my excitement and enthusiasm for David less feral. I must be creepy scary by now!
I have seen this performance on YouTube a few times and each time I still feel chills up and down my spine. Spirit-moving.
thatguycansing . July 9, 2008 .
Casseydog -- Can I just second #12, #24 -- if you can, let David know his VOICE rocks!!! This video is just one more thing that proves he is a MASTER communicator when it comes to singing! He need not worry about the song, fast, slow, mid-tempo, rock, pop WHATEVER! His voice and interpretation is all he needs and all we need for that matter! He makes music come ALIVE!!
Look forward to all the great reports! Rascal -- thanks again for this clip and for this site!
refnaf . July 9, 2008 .
I have been away for a while and have spent countless hours catching up on all the comments. I am so thrilled that I can come here… I re read everything and am so moved by everyones insights. Thank you all!! This last blog has left me speechless as well but I am counting on you Rasal to help us put it into words. The way you can express what we are feeliing and experiencing is such a gift. I have never been moved by a musician in this way. Amazing!!
I am now trying to figure out a way to get to the Concert in Toronto. My plan had been to wait it out until he has a solo tour, but I don’t think I can wait that long!
Me2 . July 9, 2008 .
Freo, I live in asia (last 14 yrs), born in asia but grew up in the USA. job circumstances mean that we (hubby & I) have been in Asia (Thailand, HK, China) for 14 years and have traveled extensively in many asia countries (japan, korea -- almost relocated there, malaysia, singapore, etc.).
Most asian countries have to get AI via satellite, although there are some places where AI is publically broadcasted (i know of singapore).
DA is exactly what would make asians CRAZY about DA….cute…young…the voice…humble (japan)…hot without being over-the-top-sexy…
He’s been in a few Philippines teen magazines as well as Singapore and Malaysia so he is getting some buzz already. There are fansites in Japan, China, Singapore…and I’m guessing Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia based on fans I’ve read/met on other DA fansites.
So yes, he will be HUGE when he releases his album.
Me2 . July 9, 2008 .
Freo, last thought….disproportionate number of the fans active in the fansites seem to be asians (from photos)…full/half in USA or overseas. Or maybe we asian tend to be obsessive….LOL.
Ely . July 9, 2008 .
Wow! I’m in heaven listening to him and watching that smile at the end.
lulu . July 9, 2008 .
After months of following AI (I started watching on Dolly Parton week) I just discovered this website today & immediately registered. It’s ever bit as good as Masterclass Lady & Fanblast. It’s nice to see some names I’m already familiar with (such as Bookaholic from Masterclass). I’m sick of the not-so-nice comments on YouTube even though I have to go there because of my ODD. I’m a 49-year-old grandma & am embarrassed to tell my friends/family that I am absolutely obsessed with David Archuleta--am I nuts? What is the matter with me? What is it about David that just draws me into him? His voice just reaches into my soul, it’s like he’s singing ONLY TO ME and no one else--yet he’s singing to millions at the same time. He squeezes every drop of emotion out of every song & does so in the most angelic voice. I hit the computer every morning just to see new videos & comments. Thank goodness I’m single (divorced) so I can indulge in my ODD as much as I want without fear of retribution. But I’m neglecting other areas of my life to spend time on the computer. Sometimes I wish I had never started watching him but it’s too late! I used to think I was the only middle-aged person out there with this problem but obviously I’m not alone!!!! There’s something special about a teenage boy who can attract this kind of loyal, devoted following. David Archuleta is here to stay & is only going to get bigger. The majority of the people at the concerts are there to see him, I wonder if he understands/comprehends/realizes how much his fans love him and will stand by him forever. He is such a wonderful light in such a dark world. He is just what the world needed.
bigsky . July 9, 2008 .
I lived in Japan for 3 (wonderful) years — and yes -- I watched American Idol there. I was working at a middle school — and would find out the results AHEAD of time by going on line to read the blogs, then walk into class and taunt the students with my knowledge of what happened.
It was as close to being clairvoyant as I’ve ever come.. LOL. I would refuse to divulge the results — as we had class voting/predictions. That was the year that Taylor Hicks won… which all the kids predicted, btw.
So, the results would be online in the wee hours of the morning, but the show would air during prime time on our cable station (I think it was a cable company out of Singapore).
Josie . July 9, 2008 .
lulu Welcome to ODD -- everything you speak of we have all experienced. Bar none. David Archuleta doesn’t let you ignore him! He has us all in the palm of his hand and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Freo . July 9, 2008 .
Me2, I never thought about his demeanor in terms of appealing to Asian markets (especially Japan), but you’re exactly right. I think his humble attitude and subtle, yet not over-the-top sexiness would be very appealing. Have you heard of Rain, a South Korean singer who is huge in Japan right now? I think that he has some similar qualities.
I can’t wait to see where David’s career takes him!
Lisajo . July 9, 2008 .
I have never posted a comment here before, but I love rascals writing. I hope I can put what i want to say into words but I am not good at writing.
Watching this brought tears to my eyes but for more than one reason. First the Obvious, David is incredible and I am amazed at how much growth I have witnessed just in the short American Idol journey and the tour.
Secondly my tears were for spirit you can feel when you hear him sing. WOW.
Third, the tears were for my own thoughts as a mother and how his mom must feel in some small way, that her teenage son will no longer be able to be a normal teenager and I think you would mourn that somewhat even though this is exactly what David has wanted, but as a mother of 3 wonderful children, I just think it would be bittersweet to come to that realization.
I would love to meet his family, I would love to know how they are all doing and how amazing his mom must be to take care of the rest of the family by herself while Jeff and David are out on tour.
Tinuviel . July 9, 2008 .
I second that lulu -- David is exactly what our world needs!
I have been exchanging today with a 20 yr old male about what draws him to David. It has been intriguing to me what this demographic ‘sees’ in David. They are not his largest fan base. Most of them discount David as too dorky to be hip, or as competition with the girls, both which elicit their ‘knock down, drag out’ spirit in the form of everything from casual disregard to outright verbal attacks. This young man, in explaining why he is a fan, revealed something quite extraordinary, at least it will be to the rest of David fans. He disliked David in the beginning. As he watched him on the show, and saw that David was genuinely humble and ‘nice’, David grew on him. David continued to impress him with his performances, until his fan transformation was complete. This young man cites his admiration of David as not his voice or ability to sing (he does admit he sings well), but rather his character. For most of us (in fact, this young man is the only one I know that is an exception, although I am sure there are others) David’s voice captured our attention, and then his character clenched us.
The simple fact that David has fans of his character, regardless of his vocal ability, confirms even more for me, that David will have a great impact on this world, and indeed already is. This young man has a group of friends who call themselves the ‘Arch Army’. They see David as their leader.
Once voice who calls many to stand and speak, soon becomes a roar……….
bigsky -- will drop that line…..
synn -- where’s my shoes????? ha ha.
Freo . July 9, 2008 .
Lisajo,
Yes, I think about his family a lot, and wonder how all this is affecting them. So much happening at once. It will be interesting once his mother joins part of the leg of the tour. They’ve had so many months apart and I am sure this is bittersweet for her even though she is no doubt thrilled.
rascal . July 9, 2008 .
“Arch Army” is great, esp. for guys. “Butches it up,” as certain of us might say
debra 5354 . July 9, 2008 .
Okay, Dang it lulu! I cave too! I am a 55yr old grandma, business owner
and Keith Urban and Elliott Yamin lover.
Have watched David since he sang Heaven in the Hollywood rounds.
Got so to where I could hardly wait for Tuesdays and Wednesdays to come.
In March became a lurker on Rickey.org. just to find out the latest info on David daily. Discovered Youtube, Fanblast and through them found your site here Rascal and it became one of my daily stops, (sometimes more than once or twice a day because of your excellent commentary,
videos and pictures). I truly was disappointed when your site went away and am overjoyed it is back.
I too am in awe of David’s voice, personality, morality, gracious manner, work ethic and kind heart. I have a severe case of ODD. I have all his AI
performances and studio songs on my ipod and watch them daily. I still have the AI shows recorded on my DVR. And yes, when I tell my family/friends about the latest awesome performance he did in the concert, I grin & actually blush. He does make me want to be a better person and if I am in a stressful situation I find myself actually saying in my head sometimes “How would David react to this” or “What would David say” It’s kinda nuts. I know I am not the only one.
Now I think I’m gonna have to go to Tulsa to see him live. Dang it!
kccy . July 9, 2008 .
RASCAL!!!!! Buy the ticket already!!! Think of us, the poor international fans who are dreaming and yearning to watch and hear him weave his magic live!!!! Live our dreams….until he comes to us, okay?
This WYSYLM video FTW!!!!
scriptype . July 9, 2008 .
I am at a loss for words today too. Last night I heard David live in San Jose. And ever since I feel like I’m floating in air.
Hours before the concert I had waited in the hot sun near the loading dock at the HP Pavilion. When David finally walked down to the locked gate, I saw a face that literally glows from the inside out.
Although I think David might prefer to wear a different outfit on stage, to me he looked better than Cook who was dressed in a white tee that accented his belly in an unattractive way. Cook’s set was far too loud and I covered my ears the entire time. And Cook made it worse by begging the audience to make more noise.
For David’s set the audience was just naturally exuberant. And David accepted whatever came from us.
sparkle5 . July 9, 2008 .
Tinuviel, I too am an early 20s male and was very inspired by David’s character as well as his singing.
lulu, I totally agree about him being a light in a dark world. He’s just amazing.

I am so nervous, because I have never ever commented before. I have been a “lurker” here, on Fan Blast, and Rickey’s site for quite awhile. I am so thrilled that Rascal’s site is back! I was reading Lulu’s comment tonight, and I thought “dang it” I am going to be brave and post. Lulu, you inspired me to be brave and unleash some of my built up fan girl! I, too, am not a young fan of David Archuleta. I am 49 years old, and I am totally and completely crazy about David! I should be embarrassed about the amount of time I spend each day watching You Tube videos, searching for concert reviews, and gazing at that gorgeous face like some love struck teenager. But what I feel for him is a spiritual connection. This is really the only place I can express this feeling without being afraid of being thought of as completely looney! David touched something in my soul the first time I heard him sing, and honestly something awakened inside of me that had been dead for a long, long time. I just cannot get enough of hearing him sing. It makes me happy. It makes me feel alive again. I have been in such a sad and unhappy place in my life for a long time, and somehow this 17 year old boy has made me feel alive again. I feel so blessed that David was sent here to us. He is a gift to us from above! I believe that with all my heart and soul. My family thinks I am nuts to feel this way about a teenager that I don’t even know, but hearing David’s beautiful voice has saved my life. I really feel that I will be okay and that I have value in this world now. I haven’t felt that way for a long time. It almost makes me wish I was 17 years old again, almost…but not quite! It is really okay to have lived life and had experiences that make us who we are. It would be tough to be a teenager again! Sorry for such a long post, but this boy just fills my soul with his light and I just have to share it with someone! Thanks so much for letting me share with you!

Lucky Angel -- You expressed my every feeling so well. Thank You.
I too have been reluctant to post as well feeling I was being “over the top” about a 17 yr old kid. But his sweetness and goodness is overwhelming and I just have to talk about it. My friends now sort of smile indulgently… they don’t “get it” yet. But they will… its only a matter of time, because David is only going to get better and better.
Something about David’s voice just fills me up and when he smiles, I smile right back.
As you can see its early here in Arkansas but this is how I start my day…
With a little bit of David. Have a GOOD DAY everyone!!!

Freo #21, Me2 #30, I’m from Malaysia and we do get AI on cable TV, usually a day after the show goes live in the US. We’ve seen every season of AI from Kelly right down to Cook this season. We’ve even had a couple of seasons of Malaysian Idol competition. So yes definitely AI does have a fan base here in Malaysia and I can tell you that this season David Archuleta is the talk of the town here. If you go to the Fanblast site you’ll find a survey of David’s international fan base and Malaysians make up the largest group at 28%! So yeah we’re serioulsy ODDers haha
We too are eagerly waiting for David’s first album and we too rabidly scour youtube for all his AI Tour vids. I really hope he’ll make a concert tour around Asia in time to come because after watching the youtube vids I’m hungry for the real thing! You guys are lucky you get to watch him now so enjoy!

Ah! I must have caught you just as you were posting it, Rascal. This IS an amazing performance — and his “delight” at the audience’s response (around 3:13 or so) was so funny…. nice to see him “feeling” the feed back live (vs. through votes).
Tinuviel: If you’re out there, I have a question for you -- could you drop me a line at: bigskybcs@yahoo.com? Thanks.
Cheers to all …
No problem, caseydog, pimp away. I’ll be glad to post your report here if you like, too.
Kait -- I’m not saying I’ve lost my resolve but I will acknowledge that it might be eroding…
Hi Caseydog! It sounds like you’ll have a ton of fun! Hope you can keep your composure
I will look forward to your report and pix.
Speechless, eh? Somehow I think this will be one of many speechless moments! That voice and that smile just draws you in!
Thanks again!
I’m wowed again! Can’t wait for Monday.
Caseydog,
could you send me an e-mail at creativeoptimist@gmail.com?
I am a journalism professor (and freelance features writer on the side) and I have a couple questions you might be able to answer about the media and interviewing David. Thanks!
Also, I really liked your proposed questions to David. I am also wondering if he is recording on his off days and how they are logistically managing that? Perhaps flying people out and using a local studio in the city where the tour happens to be?
caseydog, I find that DA seems to sometimes lose the question if there is too much prefacing going on.
Casey,
I thought of a couple other questions to consider for your list.
Good advice and suggestions about the questions. Thanks!
The feelings conveyed by david and the emotional connection that I feel during this performance is unreal…right to the soul.
I have been reading our sight for a while now. Then you dissdappeared(misspelling intentional
) . I was going throught withdraw for a while but you came back:) I can only handle one addiction at a time. Plz dont to that to me again
This is the first time I commented because there are so many great posters here and felt intimidated. Decided to come out of lurking mode just to tell you how much i love your sight. Lol I was so excited about this video. I came here, as soon as I saw it, wanting to see if you had it, and your speechless
OH well I guess it happens to the best:)
Freo, last thought….disproportionate number of the fans active in the fansites seem to be asians (from photos)…full/half in USA or overseas. Or maybe we asian tend to be obsessive….LOL.
Wow! I’m in heaven listening to him and watching that smile at the end.
So, the results would be online in the wee hours of the morning, but the show would air during prime time on our cable station (I think it was a cable company out of Singapore).
lulu Welcome to ODD -- everything you speak of we have all experienced. Bar none. David Archuleta doesn’t let you ignore him! He has us all in the palm of his hand and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Once voice who calls many to stand and speak, soon becomes a roar……….
bigsky -- will drop that line…..
synn -- where’s my shoes????? ha ha.
Lisajo,
Yes, I think about his family a lot, and wonder how all this is affecting them. So much happening at once. It will be interesting once his mother joins part of the leg of the tour. They’ve had so many months apart and I am sure this is bittersweet for her even though she is no doubt thrilled.
“Arch Army” is great, esp. for guys. “Butches it up,” as certain of us might say
Dang it!
RASCAL!!!!! Buy the ticket already!!! Think of us, the poor international fans who are dreaming and yearning to watch and hear him weave his magic live!!!! Live our dreams….until he comes to us, okay?
This WYSYLM video FTW!!!!
Tinuviel, I too am an early 20s male and was very inspired by David’s character as well as his singing.
lulu, I totally agree about him being a light in a dark world. He’s just amazing.
Incredible performance! The Amazing Superstar! O’-)
LOL Tin thems my shoes and you cant have them back:)
Glad I came back to reread or I would have missed your beautiful post
and all the other regulars here that I just love to read!!!!!!
And of course to watch WYSYLM over and over and over again!!!!!!!!!!
This video is just the most beautiful one out there yet. Cant get enough of it.
# 26 elannbo….very video, every interview, every performance, every article… “David acting silly, David being David!!!” And don’t you just love it all?
OOPs, meant every video.
The grin, then THE smile…that’s the smile I get when David sings this song to me.
# 52 Janey… when I first saw THE SMILE, I laugh … I feel so happy when I see that smile (tears were still in my eyes because of his beautiful and touching performance). No matter how many times I watch this video, THE smile can still make me laugh.
Btw, this is the first time I post a comment here . Rascal, very glad to have you back… feel like something is missing when couldn’t connect to your site.
WOW….JUST WOW!!!!!.
Everytime I see that blinding smile my heart just swells up. And I grin.
Gotta watch this video several times a day.
