I’ve never wanted success for someone as much as I’ve wanted it for this 17 year old dude I saw on tv back in February. haha. He makes my cry. He makes me laugh. He makes me smile. We need him now in this time we’re living in. It’s a rare gift to be able to bring that out in people.

I can remember after some of the AI shows how we, the fans, would wait and hope and pray that David’s song from the night before would be #1 on iTunes? And I remember the utter angst and disappointment when it wasn’t? Well, he was saving it for the most important #1 opportunity huh?

I have heard the song 3 times now on the radio and the last time I heard it I had a truly revelatory moment. For one second it was as though I hadn’t heard it already a zillion times and was listening for the first time. And because I have had to listen to a lot of the garbage that is on radio right now just to catch CRUSH, at that moment I realized the genius of this song. It sounded better on the radio and it sounded remarkably wonderful. This song, as David does, is somehow floating somewhere above the rest of the pack

I am not anywhere close to stating what I really meant, but oh well. David, you did us proud!! Someone on another forum last night said this: “To the exquisitely brilliant tip of the Archuleta iceberg!” Can’t wait to see the rest!

OH MY GOSH ASHLEY!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG.

I downloaded Crush as soon as it came out on the radio in New York,
(from Rascal’s site, thank you Rascal) and then bought it for my home computer and my work computer. I have it on my ipod along with every song available on the WWB, including Heaven, Waiting On the World To Change, etc…… This is definitely my favorite!!! I cannot stop listening to it. It is repeated every third or fourth song on my David playlist and I get chill bumps on my legs every time I hear it. (I have to confess… there are others that I get chill bumps as well), I am so excited for you David.

I am not surprised this is the result of a person with your abilities that has studied the top songs around the world since you were what, 12-13 years old ?

David, we have been proud of you for months now, dude! You have no idea! Your song is great, and we are grateful for all the effort you put into your craft. You are a true artisan, and I’m guessing that we have no clue what incredible things you have in store for us. Watch out, people! The Archuleta train is heading our way. It’s gonna be good!

Rascal, admit it! I was first out of the box to suggest you write a biography on David. That was way back when! You had just started your site. Do you remember? I’d thought seriously about volunteering to do one for David and donate my part to his favorite charity. Then…I read your blog and reality hit me upside the head! Like I thought I could write! haha Maybe fairly well, but exposure to your superlative writing, insight and astute observations made me think twice and recommend you for the post.

I still think you should consider it. You could do our prodigy justice. It’d be a tough job, but I can only imagine how rewarding it would be! Just think! You’d get to spend a bunch of time with David. (I’d die and go to heaven!) I love someone’s suggestion for a title, too--”Noting David”. How perfect would that be? I’m so proud to be a David Archuleta fan! The release of Crush was the day we had all been waiting for since David’s audition on Idol. Congrats to David, his family, and all of us! I’ve never been this invested in a singer before, and I don’t think I’ll ever be again (no energy left!). David brings me joy in a way I can’t explain. I’m an Archie for life!
