I’m going out on a limb here and say that he’s even more appealing because he is “untouched”..you look at him, him mouth, his eyes, which are so full of passion yet he remains pure & untouched so far! un-buh-lee-va-bul!!

Another thought occurred to me. I think because the majority of pictures that we see of David are of him laughing and smiling, that this expression is intriguing because it’s so seldom seen that it almost feels intimate by nature…like we are seeing a private and mysterious side of him.
I think that makes it fascinating to look at somehow.

Go to “Tools” up there in your browser, then “Delete Browsing History”, then at the top one “Temporary Internet Files” click “Delete Files”. It takes a few minutes (maybe more for you if you haven’t done it in a while!). Then when you come back here, click refresh, and voila! You’ll probably see a number of new avatars. (OK, gotta go make a new one for myself now! But man, it’s gonna be tough keeping up with Mrs. Robinson!)

So, I had this dream last night…
I was in some rural setting with Obama of all people, and his two little girls (who are big David Archuleta fans, from what I understand). We were on our way to the David Archuleta corn maze in Utah. But we got lost trying to find the maze, and in the midst of it all, a riot broke out, so we were running looking for safety. And we eventually found our way to some cozy little log cabin, and out in the back is David Archuleta!
And then I woke up.

I am of sound mind this morning and I have had a chance to “analyze” this very nice photo of David..I was wondering why he’s hiding his “HANDS”? So I went back & viewed the photo shoot vid..poor photog..he mentions that he had shot some uh..hard ones, but David was un.. great. Now I’m thinking the photog told David he HAD to hide his HANDS on this particular shot cause having the uh..nice jeans & buckle AND hands would cause his camera to EXPLODE..as it was the photog had to keep wiping the lens as the heat emanating from David was steaming the place up!

I’ve got a couple (lot) of things to say.
1. I LOVE, LOVE LOVE the new songs! i usually have something to nitpick, but not this time. I actually like them more than crush! They’re awesome.
2. The new pics are cute. But i REALLY wanna see the ones w/ the red shirt and vest.
3. You know about my trophy fetish, so i’ll say just go ahead and say that if he gets nominated, i will f*ckin spazz out. He could be the wildcard, but i seriously doubt it. If he wins… (no chance, really) I’ll die. i mean, seriously SUCH a long shot. BTW I noticed that some of those other submissions are NOT pop. Jesse M, Ne-Yo, and Chris B are R&B! They need to move to their OWN genres, and make space for our baby.
4. I’m SO excited about the election! Unfortunately, I’m FOUR MONTHS too young to vote. I’m obsessed w/ politics, so i’m pretty bummed about it. Well, I’m overseas right now, so i wouldn’t be able to vote any way. But that’s besides the point. I REALLY would have loved to vote in such an important election.
5. Well, I’m about to start college in a few weeks, so I’m pretty excited/nervous/sad. The 6 month break was very nice, but alas, all good things must come to pass. And since I’m sooooo smart (jk), I get to go for free. My dad is very happy about it, so I’m very proud of myself.
6. How in the world am I going to loose the 25 pounds I gained over the summer? I’m 5’2″, so that’s alot of weight. I can’t even squeeze into my size 6 prom dress anymore. I hope I can loose it soon. Being fat… isn’t fun.
Oh my heck… I have been in Virginia from Michigan and just got back! I am soooo far behind. Good Gracious Goodness! Oh my Heavens! WOW! What else can I say! He is beyond BEAUTIFUL I own an automatic defibulator, I am real close to using it!!! I need to break from this pic and check out his new songs! I’ll be back…(OK, one more look)! THUD!!!

It was a precious and riveting moment -- I’ll never forget it -- it was a life changing moment -- he is human, he is 17, powerful is he, music his he, he faces his fears and does it anyway. The expression in his eyes when we made eye contact will stay with me always. I saw a human being who was facing life head-on, at 17, a wise soul, a 17 year old human, and I will never forget.

David Archuleta and his father, Jeff, along with a family friend, are hoping to make a trip to India to visit the children of Rising Star Outreach. Rising Star’s works are primarily aimed at families affected by leprosy, or Hansen’s Disease. The Archuleta’s friend who is a Family Dentist wants to provide free dental care to the many children living in the colonies. The Archuleta’s friend will be the first Dentist ever to volunteer his services to Rising Star and they are all excited to be part of this desperately needed outreach. Donations will be needed to cover the cost of Dental equipment and supplies. Fan Scene will keep you up to date as this story develops.

Speaking of the necklace, isn’t it the same one from “Crush” video and the one he received from a fan? Here’s what the fan wrote about it:
“This necklace is called “The Life Compass” and instead of having the normal N, S, E, and W letters on it…it has the letters G, F, F, K. Those letters stand for God, Family, Friends, and Knowledge. On the back of the necklace, it is engraved with the message: “This is your journey….choose the right path”. The reason I chose this particular necklace to give to David was because I had wanted to give him a compass…something that would always help him find his way back home, should he ever start to feel lost or all alone. In my search for the compass, I found this necklace and it was the most perfect thing I could have ever found. I wrote all of this in my letter and I explained to David how much he meant to me and the meaning behind the necklace. Seeing him wearing it absolutely made my day and I don’t think I could have been any happier than I was at that moment!”

Band Auditions & a trip to the dentist!
Hey guys! Hope things are going well with everyone. This week has been really nice since I’ve been able to spend a lot of time with family! As you might already know, I sang at the 7th inning of the Rays vs. Red Sox game in Tampa where my brother was able to come down for. After that, we had band auditions! So the band is in process right now, and I’m stoked for that. Then, I did the last of the recording earlier this week for the album so I’m done with recording! I’ve been home for the past few days and it’s been great! Since we held some auditions and did the last of the recording here, I’ve been able to see them along with some friends. So I’ve really enjoyed my time here. I also went to the dentist…. haha. It was ok though because I’m cavity free! So it’s been a nice relaxing week, and been so nice to spend time with everyone! Unfortunately I’m already leaving, but I’m sure I’ll be able to spend more time with them later on. It’s just exciting for the album to be finished after recording all these months. I better get going though! So I’ll talk to you guys later and let you know what’s going on!
Song for the day: Too Much Food -- Jason Mraz. So I’ve been eating sooo much this week haha. I thought this song was really appropriate since I’ve been listening to it a lot lately, and eating a lot lately haha.

I had another real gander at the photo. As I sat staring at it David looked right back at me. His eyes are mezmerizing and he has well defined features. It is a beautiful face. His shoulders are well built and that shirt defines his lines well. The belt is all Silverfoxe has said it is and great jeans-enough said. I think I would like a poster in my locker at the gym.
I have listened to his hands songs mixed with God Bless America ,Crazy, Mary Did You Know, Heaven and Waiting on the World(interesting mixture) all day and they make me smile. I had lists to compile and it made time fly although my bouncing in the chair gained a bit of attention. I can’t chose between the Hands songs anymore-I’m glad we seem to be getting them both.
HaHa! He’s also got 3 pictures of himself in the dentist’s chair up on his MySpace. ROFL!!!! Only David! Also one of him and his parents talking with someone. Looks like maybe deciding on songs for the album? Lupe looks bored. LOL!
wow, is David in NYC the whole month of November, or just flying there every single week? I think I need to see if I can get a 2nd job as a flight attendant on the SLC- NYC run. What would be my chances of having David on board at least once? (Better than Lotto I’ll bet.)

I spent the day lurking in many places to catch comments on the 2 new songs. I have come to the conclusion that David’s Fanatic Fans are a real serious group.(Except for here)! Of all the sites, Rascals Noting David has the smartest, most hilarious, fun loving group of people out there in cyber space! Every time I came back here, I couldn’t stop laughing. A couple of Silverfoxes writings had me “on the floor” with tears of fun! As for the new songs…I listened many times…The beauty of these songs is David’s VOICE stands on it’s own. I LOVE that I could really not compare him to anyone!

davidfanLIZ: Yes, the whole album--and that has me “spazzing.” I am taking Mon-Wed off (couldn’t swing Thurs & Fri) of the week the album is released so I have all the time I want to enjoy and savor, and, yes, SPAZZ.
I put these two snippets of the whole song plus Crush on a play list. One snippet on each side of Crush. It is a fantastic listening experience. Couple that with viewing the current photo shoot releases and bouncing, spring steps, dancing, dreaming, smiling, laughing out loud, and singing along are all viable outcomes. Also, very good for mental, emotional and physical health. An ArchuVitamin--and the album will be one mega dose!
LIZ Isn’t it great though that they’ve “hooked” us by NOT providing the ending OR giving people the ability to rip a copy of the complete song before the actual CD is released. Very nice…very nice.

I’m also wondering how David really feels about the songs being “leaked”..if it was a “ligitimate leak” by Jive? I recall in Evansville, I heard a group of girls telling David they had not seen his video yet even though it had been “leaked” cause they were waitng for the official release and DAVID was THANKING them, telling them he thought it was AWESOME they were waiting and he hoped they liked it. lol.. SF one of my fan buddies (online) is a MOM (a Utah Mom! lol) and has a hilarious story about seeing the GH commercial that nite on the finale. She was in the family room with her two sons… teens… and her jaw was like ON THE FLOOR… and she apparently UNCONSCIOUSLY muttered “oh my gosh those THIGHS” … or something… did not even realize she had spoken out loud. Silverfoxe #280 -- I HAD to go to the Glendale concert. I HAD to get front row seats (in front of the runway, center). I am not a teen and had to battle all kinds of conflicting inner thought processes at war--GAH--what goes on in our minds sometime!
When he came to the end of the runway after SBM and was at the microphone stand waiting for the applause to die down so he could introduce WYSYLM for the first time, he looked out across the audience and then he looked down…at me…his expression was contemplative and tinged with a little anxiety in his eyes. I smiled at him as we looked into each others eyes--it seemed like forever and at the same time it seemed like a nanosecond. He smiled back and dipped his head with a nod and smiled even more--in that way he smiled at someone he made eye contact in the audience during AI.
Any questions I had about him were answered at that moment--I knew he who he was and (although this sounds extraordinarily arrogant and sappy at the same time), I feel like I saw his spirit. Then he introduced WYSYLM and sang. A few times during the song he looked down at me and we made eye contact again.
I haven’t told this story before. I couldn’t understand why me, why this, why now as it relates to being so compelled to be a David fan. But I knew I had to continue this Fan journey. I suspect at this point there isn’t an ultimate goal--it is the journey itself. I have a blessed and fulfilled life so, for me, personally, it is about reawakening creative outlets that I have neglected due to life’s demands and getting back in touch with the universal language of music.
Funny, I need never to meet or talk to David. I am perfectly content to fully support and completely savor his music and his career and embrace the twists and turns of this unexpected adventure to the max! At the same time, he is like a member of my family, in my Circle of Concern, who I would unhesitatingly extend my resources to if ever there was a need.
There is something so elemental about David and his music--like water, earth, wind and fire--when he sings it feels like “home.”
Kizzi…how very wonderful! Your experience was like a scene from a movie..no, no,,,more from lyrics of a song..Touch My Hands..wow, Kizzi! I just knew there was a story there, and what a story. Yes I can see how David may have had felt anxiety, after all it was the first concert wasn’t it? He was about to sing a HUGE song he chose especially for his fans and to SEE you and the love in your eyes surely eased his anxiety so he returned the love with his eyes. Thank you for sharing.
Another, question..do you write about David..does anyone here write about him, I don’t mean like rascal’s profound and wonderful posts. I mean just about how you feel, what he means to you? Like letters to him that you know you won’t send but just to “let it out”, your hopes for him, your fears for him, prayers for him,..just anything. I write poems…Me, who hasn’t EVER written a poem in my life, writes poems! He is an inspiration!
Kizzi -- What a beautiful story, thanks for sharing. What a gift he gave to you that night. I love your phrase, “Circle of Concern.” He has made heart connections with so many of us. I feel blessed that he is in my life, and the mother bear in me feels very protective of him.

Nice for you to be able to share your lovely obsession with your sister. I have four sisters, and I’ve shared a few David stories with two of them. They totally don’t get it. They think I’m a bit weird. One actually said, “Well, at least it’s not like online gambling.” Gag!!! Makes me appreciate all of you!!

You feel like you would do anything for him. This is so big. It’s like his spirit is huge and knows no boundaries. You just have to be open to it. Oh, I am living vicariously through you guys. This is like unconditional love in its purest form.

refnaf -- I paint too. Oils and watercolors. And, “oh my gosh, ashley” the colors I am using now -- phthalo emerald, cobalt blue and violet and red and yellow ochre seem to attach themselves to my brush automatically. The brush strokes and lines are now bold yet sensitive.

Ok..I will share something I wrote very quicky one morning right after I woke up..the words just kind of spilled onto the paper..and remember I’m no Maya Angelou, so don’t expect perfection, just my thoughts at that time..

I don’t mind telling you all..sometimes I open my mouth or in this case write & post before I think of what I’m getting myself into. What some of you find so funny about me is an example of me “speaking before thinking”

SF -- I write songs for my student chorus. I have a rough draft of a chorus song inspired by David. The words were written by a music teacher friend from Columbia.

David makes me cry sometimes with that voice and I hope to someday get where he is and be brave to try new things. I have passion but its kept under wraps pretty much and it desperately needs a channel. I am on my own personal quest to find my place in the world. I have raised two children and am getting a divorce after 31 years. Wooh, I know others have been down this road and made it but it sure is scary to me.
Thank you all for being here and providing a place to read about David’s artistry and express our thoughts, to listen to your wisdom and silliness. It’s a place for all our love for David to be kept for the time should he ever need it with prayers, appreciation for his hard work, buying power or whatever.

Can I just say how much I love that picture of David at the dentist? It sums up for me all the reasons I love him to pieces… allow me to count the ways: He is without vanity; he’s willing to share so much with us, down to his last molar, incisor and bicuspid!; music runs so deep within him, we just know that even with his mouth full of dental tools, he was sitting there humming whatever Muzak was on the office radio – AND HE SOUNDED GREAT!

OK -about the password, I could not make it work also.Funny that in other instances & files, I could make it work. Like I got a file on episode 9 (Hollywood Week)that is fairly longer than previous so I was venturing that the deleted scenes like the Crazy clip may be there.. but nada!
On this latest password protected file, it involves the traclist of David’s album. I can see and actually have the mp3 files but I cannot verify validity unless I get the correct password and get the dang files working! Grrrr!
And I don’t want to post an unrealiable tracklist… It went up the day after David confirmed in his blog that he finished the album already.

Wow, if that list is a spoiler, and TMH is not listed, then it suggests the ratethemusic survey was to decide which of the two songs to include. I figured MH was more popular, but TMH should have remained on the album (maybe under a different title?).

I think Touch My Hands got re-titled. That was one of most common comments in RTM… like I did ask them to change the title My Hands to Hold On or if that stays, change TMH to simply Touch . Who knows, TMH could be You Alone in that listing?
I checked out The Spare, Baby Steps and Domino on YouTube. Very interesting. Now if these are not officially official, then what exactly are they?

Kizzi, you story gave me goosebumps. Others have spoke about that eye contact he makes. In the Newark WYSLM he looked directly into the camera and it was an experience. I so agree with you that when he sings we are home and all is right in the world.
Ram, hang in there. Just take a day at a time going forward and not looking back. The best is yet to be. My sister would tell you though don’t bottle it up-rant and rave and get it out-don’t internalize. She describes divorce as living death and it must be mourned but she is happier now than at any time in her life and wouldn’t change a thing.
Beebee, I have heard Andrew Lloyd Webber give other young performers the same open your eyes advice. He just doesn’t understand how we love when David gets into that place far away and draws us in with him.
I will be disappointed if both songs are not on the album as I have fallen for them both but I will trust David to know what is best for the album. It astounds me how much faith I have in this young man to make wise decisions. I certainly did not have a lot of wisdom at 17.

Also, now I hope there weren’t too many disappointed with the unofficial list. I sure hope TMH got re-titled. I think that if for some reason it didn’t make it on the album David would find a way to sing it to his fans at the concert. Or it could come out as a single. Although I don’t know how that works because he is under contract and now he has a recording company and a management company, but you know the power of David. He is a force to be reckoned with when he wants to do something especially for his fans.
Well, I think that list was something fun to kick around but certainly not anything to worry about. And of course we know to “Trust the Archuleta”
But you are right… he really makes the utmost effort for his fans.
