I loved this video! Great encapsulation of a crazy campaign season that, in my opinion, turned out the best possible way. I read in a magazine article that President-elect Obama's family were big supporters of David's and voted for him!!! Way to go, new prez! I always knew you had class!!!

OK here are the only few things that I do know right at this very moment:

ronaldsf you are nothing but a tease

erin - thank you SOOO much for sharing every tidbit, I hang onto every word

About the songs: as my brain is in a gelatinous state right now after listening to all the songs over and over, my thoughts are trying to "swim" together into coherency (is this a word?) and all I can comes to the forefront at this moment is that when I here the intro to Your Eyes Don't Lie - I see...close your eyes and visualize (wow! that ryhmes)

The opening scene of an old time spaghetti western with Clint Eastwood riding his horse down the empty main street of an old prairie town in a dust storm...

I will have to reserve judgement on the rest of the songs for a later date.

jackrysn4DA---
"But if there is ever a voice that would soothe the savage beast, it is Archuleta’s. It glides; it grooves; it soars; it growls. The voice teases; yearns; caresses. It fills up the cavernous places in one’s mind & heart. One minute, you find your soul pierced, the next, your spirit, tickled. It is a voice that makes you cry, smile and giddy all at the same time. It is a voice that compels us to get in touch with our inner selves, that beautiful, hopeful part. A voice that makes one a believer — for some, once"

Beautifully said..I am now sobbing...not too bad for a 17yr old kid from Murray ....simply David....

Jackryan, how can you do that? I sat alone last night just listening again and again, speechless. And here you come with a superb rendition of my feelings exactly. I admire people like you, Rascal and ronaldsf, who can with their pen, what David does with his voice.

Jack, for you, I also take a bow.

jackryan..Good morning, Sunshine! That's what you are..
Sunshine!...
David certainly did not disappoint me! And if I may quote you:

"Self-titled, the album lives up to its eponym, who, in all probability will be the most beloved yet misunderstood, if not underestimated Idol alumnus, yet."

So, so true! Thank you so much for your insights. David continues to inspire!
