Basically the critics have criticizing as their bread and butter...other then that any criticizing of David is pathetically ridiculous...and should be ignored...David and critics can never be on the same page...

Ninaf, I remember seeing an interview with Jason Alexander regarding the succes of "Seifeld". He said that when he read the pilot he thought, "This show is way too
New York Jewish to be popular in middle America." Well, the rest is TV history.

I see a similarity with David's success. I've read that he won't last because he is too middle America and "whitebread" to make it in the innercity-centric music business. The fact is, whether it's a TV show or an entertainer of any kind, people enjoy great talent and great "aura". David is the most talented singer with the most magnetic aura of anyone out there. His qualities are universal, and will appeal to anyone open and receptive to them.

The coming year will see David's success and popularity
defy all his critics. I expect many of these "geniuses" in the press who dismissed him to be tripping over each other to get on board the Archuleta Express. You'd have to be a "dang" fool not to.

Day Two of being snowed in here in the Pacific Northwest. It's beautiful, and I'm not minding a bit--yet!--there's so much to catch up on in the land of David. (Ha! As if one could every really catch up with HIM!!)

I just created my own radio station at Pandora.com based on my favorite artist (guess who). They started out the set list with one of his, and their pick was My Hands--interesting that it wasn't Crush. Next up, Colbie Caillat--OK, this is sounding promising! Third song: Cook! ACK!!!! Oh nevermind. Oh wait, next up: One Republic "Apologize". Hm. Fourth up: ALTNOY. (Interesting... still no "Crush".) Well, the jury's still out... maybe I'll just burn a CD of David's holiday music instead! Speaking of...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, all of you wonderful, insightful, amazing, hilarious ND people! You have contributed so much to an extraordinary year. "Wow. Just Wow!" And a super warm holiday "thank you" to you Rascal, who keeps the home fires burning brightly here for us to gather round and enjoy the blessing of our Star, appropriately named David!

Cheers, hugs, tears and smiles to you all.

LIZ on #210 - if you view the hi-def version of the altnoy mtv, you can see his thumb move upward to the YES delete option. So yes my dear, you were not imagining things when you got the sense that he indeed deleted the pix in that last scene of the official video

BLISS -- A child will lead. WRT David, I'd like to take that to mean childlike (to differentiate it with being childish) quality that is native to our true spiritual selves and which I suppose is the magnet that invariably draws us to David.

That sense of wonder & acceptance; of freshness, lightness that seem so natural to most children, are ones that can be easily lost sight of as we are burdened with layers of worldliness, materiality, and egotism. David at 18yo simply radiates with chlldlike qualities in the face of the same conditions.

Have we not read studies showing that highly creative people share one thing in common - possession of such childlike qualities? Moreover, it has been observed that one possible reason creative geniuses are able to be productive for so long is that they are able to maintain these qualities longer than their peers.

That's one of the most important learning I had this year. To hold on to my childlike mind even as I advance in age. For we always have a choice in the matter of how we respond to life. We can choose lightness over stress, choose laughter over frustration, choose kindness over anger.

It's funny that almost always, we look for happiness in extrinsic things, little realizing that happiness is very much an intrinsic quality.

2008, despite being a difficult year has proven to be a humdinger. And we can all agree why :)

A Blessed Christmas & a Bountiful New Year to all!

(((((Kizzi)))), great news!

Caseydog #211, thanks for the link. It was nice to "meet" Fernanda and hear her talk. When she says "I'm ... the girl," it seemed sweetly goofy (hmm, like someone else we know).
