Regarding my last post, nobody wants David to achieve his maximum potential more thanI do, and he should not have to compromise an iota of his great looks and personality to do so. I've said many times that he is a force of naure and a complete original, just as he is. I was kind of thinking out loud about what it will take, in the real and painfully superficial world of Show Biz for David to avoid the dismissing stereotype of a teen idol. It just seems that, historically, the artists who have had the greatest success were the ones whose music was the absolute centerpeice of their public persona.

Having said all that, David will continue to be handsome, continue to be wonderful, and continue to be "himself", His true fans will always love him and his music, and I am
at the top of that list, along with everyone here.

SF or anyone, can you tell me how a song co-written by David ends up sung by someone else? How does that work? Jive just gives it to another person?? I'm completely ignorant about this music business stuff.

Zero gravity should totally be David's song!

Vermeer 529 - I totally agree with your post. David just has it all and I don't want him to change anything. I love men who have a "boyish charm" about them . . even if they're 40.

This was posted at FOD. It's the song Zero Gravity that was one of the songs co written by David, but not approved for the album. WHAT WAS JIVE THINKING OF?

TOfan537- definitely not, he's played everywhere... even to 70,000 on a hilltop beside Slane Castle north of Dublin and London's Wembley Stadium (also about 70,000) in '85.

Gotta go back and reread Amy's interview ... again (and not just because Mike's from T.O.). The very beginning of SOT did remind me of another song when I first heard it, but I couldn't place it. But, heck, how old was David when More Than Words came out, two? Yikes.

Angelica, #526, "I was up late last night doing research in Archieology" ROTFLMAO!

Juliebug & Happy, LOVE your avis! Kizzi, top o' the afternoon!

Happy, re Bruce Springsteen, I thought I read once that even when he became a huge superstar, The Boss insisted on playing only certain size venues so that he could maintain that connection with his audience (staying away from huge arenas). Is that true, do you know?

Juliebug - your avi is CRACKING ME UP!
Vermeer - love your avi as well. I agree TOTALLY with your assessment of David's good looks. I can listen to his music with eyes closed and his voice is as beautiful as his physical looks and his beautiful personality. Its extra added value as an artist and boy oh boy - what extras they are.
I was looking at some vids of the 2004 Australian Idol finalist - Anthony Callea. He also has a beautiful voice and is very handsome but that's where it stops. I know nothing of his personality yet in a short span of time David's detractors, more than anything are bowled over by this aspect of his total package.
