Forgot to wish to all the posters of the notingDavid blog my best wishes for a Joyous Holiday Season, a Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukkah.

And a special thanks to you, Rascal, for providing us with this venue to express our admiration and love for the kid from Murray, Utah.

Rascal: Voting for the best of David this year was so tough! I wanted to vote for all of the choices, they were so impressive. Permit me to reprise my comment for the last category, the Heart Connection....

"This is an impossible choice. I love all of them, almost equally, but for different reasons. But I am voting for Imagine because it is the most heartfelt expression of David’s love for mankind but which obviously contain lyrics that likely contradict his strong belief in the existence of God. Yet, despite this seeming contradiction, he is able to sing this song as if he feels it in his innermost being with all of its power, whole and complete. This being the case, his performance for me is a masterful and wondrous work of the art of singing."
------------------

Regarding your reply to me on the 19th that "David is a bit fragmented right now. I think–I hope–that will change."

I agree with you, and I hope as well. Of course, this has everything to do with his delayed psychological development per Freud. David appears to be happy to remain in a latency period that allows him to pour almost all of his energies into his singing art, and in those many other activities (i.e., scouting, church, friendships, etc.) that characterize this period of his development. This fragmentation of focus is not uncommon for kids a few years younger than David, kids who often indulge in many and various activities and which occupy much of their discretionary time. Generally speaking, however, kids of average talent realize that they must focus on one or another activity that they can hope to do competently, and as a result, become specialist of one sort or another. This specialization is aided and abetted by a society which provides the rewards of status and income for those activities the society deems worthy. In other words: Conform and be rewarded, or, Non-conform and be punished. Conformity as a social ideal compels behavioral adaptations that may or may not be fulfilling for individuals, thus many live lives of ‘quiet desperation’.

For those very rare kids like David, whose talents are so outstanding, where non-conformity is the norm, there is always the danger wherein that the talent possesses the person, rather than the person possesses the talent, which in David’s case would be a voice that is vibration without relevance. One hopes that this period of artistic blossoming will not be an agent that will forever keep him in the latency period, that he will somehow be able to discover another focus for himself, one that acknowledges that physical intimacy is a liberation of the self to be free to join with another self in that sharing of joy which is the penultimate experience for we humans.

Reviewing all of the David videos/pictures was tons of fun, and voting was tons of difficult. So much goodness there. Thank you to Rascal, Amy, Ronald and Gail for your work in putting these things together.

(And what does it say about me that I'm quite familiar with all four names, as I visit all four sites plus others in my need to know all things David?)

(Please don't answer that.)

I've been reading thru the last thread and catching up--went to see my daughter and her family for a couple of days-- and when I read SF #154 I had to LOL! My husband "caught" me reading thru the comments and asked me if I was taking care of my withdrawals. He knows I'm a goner when it comes to David and his music. I did keep our traveling conversation interspersed with lots of David tidbits. He even admits that David is a "from the heart" type of person.

Thanks Caseydog #211 for the link--it's so fun to see David's reactions to what he is currently doing. He always seems so up-beat.

It's good to hear the gift basket made it thru the storm. I was at the other end of the state over the weekend, and tho' the weather was cold, it was dry.

Amen, SF

SF, I was inclined to say earlier that at least you can sleep earlier in this brief respite. But then I realized, hah! who am I kidding? You would go on and "review" your vault of Archu performances or look at your pics with David, perhaps? :)

So, is anyone here going to Hard Rock Cafe on Jan 12?

What a strange day!? No news about David makes for a long, long, day! Very quiet in Archuworld, too quiet! Goes to show that w/o David, there is a emptiness in the universe, a void that can only be filled by David. So unfair to David to put that on him. I knew there would come a time when he would not be available every single day, when he would go back to his own personal life, do his own personal things that are his alone, and I really am glad for him..but I still miss him, and I know everyone else does too. It's only been a few days, right?
Seems like a lot longer!
Good nite to whoever is here..and for David,

Dear Lord, Though we are unworthy to ask,
Please take Care Of David. Watch over him, Protect him from all harm. Cloak him with your love and give him the strength to endure all that is thrown in his path. Give David the courage and guidance to say no to those who ask for more than he can reasonably give. Surround David with loving and supportive people who love him UNCONDITIONALLY as we, his ARCHANGELS do. Separate David from those who have agendas other than for his wellbeing. Give him rest when he’s weary. Give him the stamina to sustain his hectic pace. Give him assurance when he feels doubt. Give him joy when he feels sad. Cloak him always in your protective arms. Keep David healthy & strong as he fulfills his Destiny which was written in his Book of Life before he was born.
This, though we may be unworthy, humbly pray,
Amen.

Sweet dreams David, be safe & secure in our love always! Take care. You will always be numero uno in our eyes! Thank you for all you do and for just being you!
CONTIGO SIEMPRE CON AMOR!

I know David doesn't see this and that's ok..I just want to send out good vibes to him & his family. And to let him know WE MISS HIM!! We miss you David!

I'm obviously going through after concert withdrawal...hahaha!
