1. Missing out on a chidhood: I don’t really believe that. But I am personally not a fan of young children (12 year old David) singing proffessionally. That’s all I’ll say on that.

2. Trying out for AI: anyone who wants to be regarded as a true artist with real cred would not. They would bust their butts in clubs and bars and work their way up. They would write their own songs and hone their skills. I worked my a$$ off to get the scholarship I have right now. I’m not very partial to people who want to get things the quick ticket to stardom.

3. Jeff sitution: Not a fan of stage parents.

4. Album: Funny thing is I love the album. TBWY and SOT are true gems. But from an analytical perspective, it it weren’t for David’s voice, content wise, the album would be trash. No self respecting artist would ever record an album like that.

My point is that while I agree with you about image being crucial, you getting upset over the image that is potrayed in the mags and stuff is pretty pointless. David has many other career issues. They want him to be a teen pop sensation. Tell me now- how long do those sort of artsts last?

I keep lamenting that David should have waited. I still don’t think he’s really ready for this. He should’ve finished school, gone to college, and maybe while he was doing that, he could’ve honed his skills as a songwriter and as a musician. I just feel like someone like David really needed that college experience before he tried to launch is career. I don’t know- maybe he just needs to get laid.

Oh, and I also wanted to say that I have seen a few of David’s idol performances. It’s like after watching him perform at those jingle balls, I realize that his idol poerformances were actually quite tense and contrived. Things that I hailed as the greatest things ever now seemed very… difficult to watch. He’s getting so much better. I didn’t realize how much improvement he needed until he started to get better. I’m very proud of him.

OT, Rascal: You’ll never see me defend Cook or his fans ever again. I stumbled across this weird website. It was pretty disturbing, to say the least.

And… I think my boyfriend has a crush on David. Is that weird? I showed him some David vids because I had been singing barriers and TBWY so much, so he wanted to see this boy I’m always talking about. While I complained about David’s hair in the vid, he said David was “very good looking,” and he then declared “i love this guy.” I guess we have the same taste in men

Do we was to have it coinside with one of his concerts in or around the NY area?
