Love David’s Apologize w/oneRepublic finale. After the show, I went into a frenzy searching all over the internet (first to itunes) then notingDavid. Even emailed itunes about purchasing a copy. NOTHING. I fav’d it on youTube but wanted a copy that I could watch/listen to on repeat. That was way before I knew about File2HD, mediafire, etc. (I think thanks to JR, for that). I now have the vid on my Zune (which I just love). Life is good…….

jello287 – I have 3 sons but only went thru the blues with the youngest. Fortunately, he stayed close to home (not his choice) and went to the local CC for his first two years after HS. When he finished his 2yrs he was READY to go the the University in Seattle. During the last 6 mos prior to his departure (when they left they never returned to live at home) I found myself constantly weeping and reliving the past 20 yrs. He was the one I felt the most connected to. For me this son was the daughter I never had. He was the one I could actually talk to (and joke around with) about almost anything and he always listened. Looking back now I know it was a normal thing to go through, just wasn’t so sure at the time.

This son just so happens to share the same birthday (not year) as David and has many of the same endearing qualities. I think this is also one of the reasons I love David’s relationship with his mother, Lupe. Can’t imagine how tough it’s been for her having him gone most of the time. I can so relate……

I want to thank both Kizzi & Chenson for their wonderful write-ups on the concerts in the U.K.
My favorite part on both of their posts were the comments about how people who have never heard of David Archuleta, were drawn in and dazzled by his artistry. Like Chenson, I too, ached to be like them, to be discovering David for the first time. I am finding such joy reading the Mcfly fan forums & youtube, hearing how new fans are caught up in David’s magic.

On the CD that everyone is talking about, is there anymore available to purchase? I’d love to have one if there are.

On American Idol, I will never invest the time or emotions on that show again. My reasons are not so much about David, (sorry) but how I felt lied to, manipulated, cheated and then dismissed, though I have seen the contestants performances. I thought Adam’s “Ring of Fire” was genius and I really had hoped Allison could have gone farther. And, I read somewhere that Kris seems to be the one not caught up in the competition aspect of the show. He has been helping all the contestants with song arrangements and selections. All seem to be nice people, I wish them well.

JackRyan- I saw that a typhoon had hit just north of Manila. I hope everything is alright for you and your countrymen are in my prayers. And, I am praying for clear skies and warm weather, so nothing gets in the way of your concert. Great news for me, I just received my tickets in the mail for David’s performance at the RSL soccer game! I’m four rows from the field. Yea!

Whoa! Coming way late to the party. Been MIA for a few days and there’s so much to catch up on. Shouldn’t have expected it to be any different with so much passion in one house though!

It’s fun to see David step up his game and his confidence level throughout this UK tour. I wonder how much of that is attributable to David watching McFly performing night after night??? As David has said in one of his blogs, “I’m a concert goer!” and I think he tweeted, “I love concerts!” There’s no limit to his learning.

Hey Marlie, yes, and his voice sounds like it’s getting even stronger also. For a while I thought his higher register was getting a little shakey but, wow, he attacked and hit that high note in WFY – never let gooooo!! Very strong on it! The band itself sounded a little better in this concert too, from what I can make out in these videos. Audio not being the best. I know this might not go over to well here but the band back up vocals, IMHO, are very pitchy in a lot of background harmonies. Not sure if they’re not hearing everyone like they need to or they’re not concentrating like they should. Hard to say. Just something I’ve noticed in the last few concerts. It’s a tad disappointing, to me anyway, especially when David is pretty much nailing it up there every time.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the band is great. David seems to enjoy working with them and when they are on, they’re on! They just need to fine tune the back up vocals in my opinion. But you know what they say about opinions. Nite!
