Oh, and one last thing.

In my opinion, my world view, once the fan community collectively reaches the tipping point of viewing David Archuleta, the person, as a fully responsible adult, (his art is already beyond his human years), in the media, the cyber world, in the articles and comments written (and I am not referencing TDC in particular), then, I believe the rest of the music and fan world will follow.

The ultimate power of the fan base, I am convinced, is how they, as a group, represent the artist to the world. Just my opinion.

So,wow, just caught up with the conversation last night. Had to watch the Salt Lake videos first. I mean, after all, I do have my priorities straight :)

Blogging is a new frontier for me. I have had to explore my comfort zone and have concluded to not hit "Submit" on a post unless it is something I could say face-to-face...otherwise, I end up saying things that I would never have said out loud to the people that I have a connection to.

And, everyone who regularly reads TDC, both the commenters and the lurkers, are a group. Groups go through a growth process. Last night dynamics was a leap in maturation. It is a slow process because it is cyber space and anonymity is a powerful tool that one has to learn to wield with integrity. To express oneself about ideas, concepts and not step on the individual is hard to do. And, having someone disagree with ones ideas can feel personal at times especially when what is expressed is a personal opinion.

As far as worrying, speculation, etc., the tenor of any comment comes from one's life philosophy. When we walk the continuum from optimist to pessimist we see the world view of our fellow commenters and posters.

It is important, to me, to differentiate between someone's opinion and speculation versus the facts. Therefore, my world (or should I say cosmic ;) ) view is to research what I am concerned about, look at facts, and, finally, in this particular situation, I couch my comments in terms of respecting David Archuleta as an adult, as a decision maker in his career, as a person of power. I don't see him as a puppet, helpless or being abused. He signed a contract and is doing what it takes to meet the demands of the contract. If the contract, the advice he receives, what he agrees to is wrong, so be it. I view all that as his decision as an adult. If I respect him as an adult, the buck stops with him. That is the way of maximizing one's personal power and owning one's life.

And, so, my comments and opinions regarding David Archuleta's decision making in his career is based on my "cosmic" view.

Have a Great Sunday everyone--summer is here!

bliss#241 - "With all respect, might you be somewhat uncomfortable attending a concert with thousands of screaming teenagers. David is an 18 year old heart throb who sings like an angel. More than half a million people, of all ages, will see him on this summer tour. Of course he’s better than Demi Lovato. He’s better than everybody. So what!"

With all respect? Really? This and the prior two paragraphs were directed to HG & SF and came off as disrespectful (to me) not with respect and really quite rude.

SB#247 "If we put it out there into the world that we have so many concerns about decisions then that could add to the general feelings about him…we could be the ones making the mistakes in his career"

Now that's rather judgemental and oh so harsh"

Bliss #374 - "Dawn, you need to stop “overseeing” David and return to “seeing” him. There is a difference."

Now, STOP!! There is nothing funny, positive or kind about that statement.

GOOD EVENING FROM DOWN UNDER. Just like in the solo tour, while everyone are asleep, I will try to gather some videos for you guys. It shows I am alive and kicking ( Hi JR, hi everyone). I miss you all.

But before that, love the discussion. I think I learned here in TDC that we can agree to disagree. We are all adults and we can write/voice our own opinion. each of us have different experiences and I think TDC is one avenue to share those experiences/opinion .OKAY = friends , for the love of David

if these videos have been posted sorry in advance

ZG!! So great to see David have a chance to promote its release!! Yay! That was awesome. People jumping and dancing! And David in that jersey, hot hot hot!!! He is seriously one good looking guy (stating the obvious!!)

Kizzi, wonderful post! Oneness with the cosmos works for me! I wonder if I'll ever understand why my life suddenly got sucked into the Archuleta vortex and I have been happily swirling and twirling around in it along with all you wonderful people.

My eyes are about to shut from reading so much trying to catch up with all the comments but I wanted to say thank you to all the wonderful admins of TDC for 1) having created this site, and 2) for doing such a bang up job of everything - interesting insightful articles, lots of goodies/features, AND I also must say what makes a house a home are the inhabitants, the regular and occasional commenters, posters, and the lurkers. Things do get intense (on slow days) as they did today (or is it yesterday now?) and I'm sorry to see some feelings got bruised. It's great we can feel free to express our thoughts, opinions, feelings here at this rather unique David site. It's good I can read them and take them in whether I agree with them or disagree with them. And THANK GOD for the happy-Marlie dynamic duo!! You two are just too lovely for words. Good night all.
