emmiegirl,
“courageous choice and performance”. Small sentence…HUGE meaning. Well said.

Anyone care for HEAVEN & CRAZY? A cellcast from Wilkes Barre’s Acoustic VIP, brought to us by the sweet sweet jjenny!
You know, who ever said that David is naive is out of his bonkers! Just look at his VIP set — he brings his audience to HEAVEN, then he drives ‘em CRAZY.
Dear David,
Before you do sumthin’-sumthin’ on stage, please consider the hearts of your angels? Honey, you have to calibrate otherwise you will decimate us! I fear we will go extinct before you finish this summer tour…
Whimpering but holding on,
JR

oh man.
As others have said here..I don’t think I will survive summer tour. Helpmee.
First…I was there…Htfd…and I’ve not yet been able to
get beyond the raw emotions one has to come down from after seeing David perform to come here and gush about my impressions from that incredible show. (will do when I have more time, hopefully it will all still be relevent to you guys.)
That said..
To this video post…he slays me. Apologize (accompanied!!), was an unexpected gift that night. What’s more…David prefaced this performance in what is somehow to me, always heart-wrenchingly “real”…with “So…this is a song I performed on the Idol tour last year, but I’ve never accompanied myself on it before.” paraphrase: “But let’s try it out…see how it goes..” or “hopefully it’ll go well” said vulnerably, tentatively.
And as I watch again here…chills, melt…then….that signature smile at the end…EV-E-ry time…leaves me in a puddle. (just when I had convinced myself, again…that I am still sane.)
Tks for posting this…and if you think this was killer…
“You Can” that night….touching, moving…stopped me in my tracks and opened my eyes in a new way to that song…tugged heart strings I didn’t feel before. And THAT is
the artistry of David Archuleta.
More Htfd reflections on future threads, as soon as I can speak again!
