Album Description Revised
As evidenced by the product description at Amazon, the approved marketing copy for David’s Christmas album has been revised in such as way as to, shall we say, diminish any risk of snarkiness from reviewers and bloggers who might have otherwise been tempted to reference certain unpalatable activities by a formerly highlighted songwriter whose name has now been blessedly removed.
This is a clear win for David.
The copy now reads:
Product Description

Christmas From The Heart is the second studio album, and first Christmas album by David Archuleta. The album features collaboration with Charice Pempengco on ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ and a brand new track ‘Melodies Of Christmas’, co-written by David.
Does fan community noise have any influence on such decisions? Discuss.

What a lovely surprise. I guess one of the beauties of cyberspace is that corrections and changes can be easily made.
And thank goodness. This one simple change is bound to save David from a slew of embarrassing questions.
As to cause and effect? How can anyone really know? But as Rascal has said, “Sunlight cleanses and clarifies.”
Given all the angst that has been exhibited here lately, I would love to think it was worth it in that it may have had some influence on this change.
good morning! or good day for non-Westcoasters!
I want to thank Collegemom belatedly for posting this late last night on the Compare & Contrast thread. I went to bed happier.
I really wonder about the “cause and effect”. It was quite an uproar that occurred here. Would such fan community “noise” reach the ears of anyone who has the power to change things? I also imagine that stupid Arsenio clip must have had an influence as well. I say “stupid” because I really take issue with his dismissal of our guy. Honestly that jumped out at me more than anything. He sounds like a sour puss because ex-girlfriend Paula had a much more successful stint on AI than his hosting gig on Star Search. His subsequent slam on you know who became suspect for me if he is going to talk with such inaccuracy to begin with. A pathetic attempt at eeking out attention wherever he can IMO.
It’s a great day in California. Gotta go now! See you all later!

I’m in the midst of a big move so I’m sorry I missed the latest fireworks! But very glad to see the changes made.
Who says certain people aren’t listening to the fans.
Ummmm, that is interesting, i don’t gonna say i’m not glad with this little change, because that gonna avoid some nasty questions and comments from the media and non fansites in the promotion time(i hope), especially if the original song is good and catchy like we can hear in the small clip. But is not a little too late?, i mean too many sites already posted the original description sooo i really don’t know.:| Anyway
Lately my only wish is that they(or him) did this because it exist a real conscience of what is better for the artist and not because someone feel the pressure to did it.( i guess i explain wright my point or not?)
BTW in the first description they start with the Idol runner-Up line? i really don’t remember….:/
We’ve all seen massive evidence that David has grown leaps and bounds in every possble way over the past few years…perhaps this edit in the album description reflects some growth (dare I say, even maturity?) on the part of his management…I like to hope that way.
