Chords of Strength
This is a picture of David that does him justice. Finally, a cover that shows the depth in his eyes, and his thoughtful nature in his expression. Even his clothes look like he picked them out himself rather than some stylist that was trying to make him into a tough-guy or an innocent. Enjoy!

I’m curious to see what David’s “voice” and style will be like in print. I mean, we have all read his blogs, but that of course is different.
And niiiiiice picture! I agree that it definitely shows his strength… my only beef is that it obscures his thighs.
Tee-hee, look at what I saw in my inbox — a full real-time vid of David’s CRUSH @ TheMint thanks to archiesfanatic

Then last night he rawked the house with HEAVEN CAN WAIT @ the We The Kings concert. At the rate this young man is going, he will be the toast of jam sessions around the country!

JR, #1 in books in 3 categories? WOOT! WOOT! David has caused quite a stir with this cover shot! I dig his confident, intriguing, HAWT look he’s sportin’! LOL
This guy being interviewed here befits that pic to-a-tee!
A new track called “She’s Not You” has been leaked and can be heard at rickey.org!

check…check…did it work?
OH MY HECK!!! I LLLLLOOOOOVVVVEEEE this song! GAH! Seriously brought tears to my eyes…
I’m so HAPPY for him, I could just squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
OMG, that song, that song, that song! It is gorgeous! If this is a look at what we are going to get on the new CD, I’m going to go crazy! GAH!
OK…now I feel like I should feel guilty for listening. It is a “leak”. I can’t believe it will hurt him. I will buy it (many times!) as it becomes available.
‘nuf spamming for me…
angelofdja -- yes, tears of happiness!
So, now that I’ve heard it, I feel bad for listening if it is an unauthorized leak. Or is it designed to get some buzz going?
Great vocals by David, as usual. But I wonder: Does this song sound like something for the new CD, something that he might have helped write? Or is it a song that was written for him and did not make it onto the first CD?
Regardless, great vocals! It would sound great on the radio.
For what it’s worth: According to commenters at IDF, etc., the song was written by Eman, Jesse Cates, and Lindsey Robbins.
I like the song too, and David of course sounds great. I like the quick phrases. But I don’t think it’s strong enough as a conventional “love” single. Not sure if this was in the running? “Crush” had a more intense situation to relate with, of being overwhelmed and terrified of one’s first feelings toward someone. Hm…
Great to hear new David music though!!!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM YYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. GGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAHHH!
(Serious flailing here)
Is he trying to kill us???
Ok, my kids just burst into my room after hearing my scream — I didn’t even know I did! Tee-hee.
Anw, can you imagine the video? Please have plenty of close-ups and direct looks into the camera as if he is singing to gazillions of fans who will surely swoon.
{JR go back to normal. Your kids almost didn’t believe your alibi with the scream}
ANGELOFDA -- I corrected your entry at #6. No need to insert “v” if it is just a link.
MARLIE & ANGELOFDA -- don’t feel guilty. The ones that should guilty are those who will listen or download and not even bother to buy his work.
Well, this is all over the net -- on USA Today, MJ’s blog, and other celeb blogs. I love the song. I don’t know if it’s strong enough to stand as a single on the radio, but it feels different than his first CD, although, it might be something he recorded then and it didn’t make the first CD. Hard to tell. Anyway, it is nice to have something new to listen to
If it was a left-over trax from the 1st CD, why leak only now?
The lyrics sure sound that it would never make the 1st album. But at 19, actually 20 this year? Could be.
What bothers me is leaking the whole song… which makes me think this won’t be part of the next album but a very smart way of getting the fans excited. Or that this is similar to the trax in the 2nd album and this is Jive’s way of testing market reaction
On the other hand, I think am being too quizzical. Legit or not, left over trax or not, it has been leaked and we cannot do anything about it but enjoy it, haha.
Thanks JR. Had I given it more thought, I would’ve realized the link thing. I was guilty of being in an Archu-stupor at the time!
BTW…I AM enjoying “She’s Not You”!
Finally! Thank you, thank you, thank you, to the person(s) responsible for book cover! THIS, is David, or at least one layer of his multi-layered complex personality.
And I’m enjoying the leaked song too. I don’t want to analyze it too much, wondering if it’s the new lead single from album #2 etc. etc., but am just happy that it shows a big progression from some of the lighter weight material in his debut CD.
The video of David rocking it out with ‘We the Kings’ was the icing on the cake today!
Here’s a slightly better video of David performing with We the Kings. The audio is pretty scratchy but you can see David and he is having a great time. Looks like he got a bit of a trim too.
