THANK YOU JR for posting these!!
Well it seems all of the concerts were a major success and David sparkled in all of them. I am just busting with joy for him.
Man, I wish the dvd was available now.
JR, again, thank you for all your work on gathering this information together. Tonight I finally got a chance to listen and read about the press interview that David & Michael York gave. I have always been a fan of Michael York, so these performances have put me in Nirvana.
One question about Michael, if anyone knows: Is Michael suffering from any injury or illness to his eyes?
When he first came out, he was walking very tentatively, and during his performance his eyes looked almost swollen shut. And during the press conference he is wearing dark glasses.
I tried to find out some information but could find nothing on the internet. Has anyone read anything about it?
I hope he is alright.
Now here’s hoping for Saturday night’s videos and a really great video of Gesu Bambino, that’s the only one that seems to be missing.
Here ya go MARLIE & CUTTER
GESU BAMBINO
At the last minute I decided to head over to TDC one last time before going to bed. Boy, am I glad I did. Thank you! Thank you JR for finding this. David sounded glorious! Now I’m going to bed with visions of David singing Xmas carols dancing in my head.
Finally, weee!!! The REPRISE at the FINALE thanks to margonui75
Aside from Gesu Bambino, I have been waiting for someone to upload this final segment -- when the guest performers are gifted w/ flowers and a plaque of appreciation, then the segue to reprising the finale number — see him belting that glory note, with the flowers! G.A.H.
I do hope someone would post the number after this — the choir sing their farewell thank you number to the guest performer —
“God Be With You Till We Meet Again”

(Hey, that’s all we’ve got!)
JR -- Thank you for all these wonderful Christmas presents! Gesu Bambino was glorious -- the entire concert was David at his very best. Tears, dang it! I can’t wait for that DVD to come out. I’m putting a note in my Outlook to check for it on September 1st!
Hi Jackryan,
I just had to thank you in person for meticulously archiving other recent David events but this magnificent one in particular. For many of us who could not be there in person it breaks our hearts to miss David at his glorious best. These vids take some of the sting and disappointment away a bit and so I say thanks again on behalf of other Archies who feel the same way.
Hi Marlie!
Hi Joymus! I so agree with you -- this collection of videos in particular displays David’s breadth and depth. Is there anything he can’t sing? I think not.
Jr is an amazing archivist.
I was looking back through TDC posts and pages and realized what a vast catalog of material we have here -- it truly is a chronicle of David’s career even back to the beginning because the NotingDavid materials are all here as well.
At some point it would make sense to review and assure that materials are tagged and appropriately documented for posterity.

Enjoy!
MARLIE -- re the vast material -- DEFINITELY YES! One of the things I really love about this site is its structure. Easy access to materials. Really living up to its name of CHRONICLING anything David. That’s kudos to you & Rascal for setting TDC up the way it is.
Now if we could have some more of the fabulous articles that once peppered our home [cough*rascal/liz/ronaldsf*cough], then we could have what one of the major Manila broadsheets here claim: balanced views, fearless news
My apologies for posting a less than merry comment. I took it down, and would ask JR to edit her’s as she sees fit.
JOYMUS -- you’re welcome
It was serendipitous that yesterday I was “trapped” in my room doing what? Wrapping Christmas gifts!
So I had plenty of time to record
Just finished watching Music & the Spoken Word. David performed JTTW and Angels, from the Realms of Glory.
He was splendid, except for that cracked note at the end…
Uploading them now
MoTab Mini-Program @ Music & the Spoken Word is now up!

I just love reading blog recaps, esp from non-fans
I will post a series, across the 4-day MoTab concert. Here’s one:
Christ mas with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir AND David Archuleta! by Kallene (posted 19 Dec 2010)
Dear Tenley,
I feel like I have just met the most adorable boy. Except I didn’t really actually meet him, but I feel like I have. That’s right, I feel like I have met David Archuleta.
Last night I attended the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert (EEEEeee! Myabe my favorite thing ever! This is a PS to the favorite things series). Each year this world-renowned choir invites a guest artist to sing with them, and this year just happened to be the young and adorable American-Idol success pop-star David Archuleta. I was a bit of an indifferent fan of David’s prior to last night, but I have since purchased a ticket on the David Archuleta Train and am riding first class.
Conveniently I attended the concert with a family who had two things going for them:
1. The Dad is in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
2. The son is friends with David!!!
As we walked to the Conference Center they talked about David as if he were just the kid next door. Oh yes… because HE WAS! They talked about how he hung out at their house, sung at middle school choir concerts, and kinda shrugged and giggled whenever he ran out of something to say. They told me about how he spoke in their church on Sunday and when they asked why he was speaking and not singing, the church leader said, “You’ve all heard him sing, now I want you to hear him speak.” He talked about how everywhere he travels (and man this kid travels!) he goes to the temple in whatever city he is in, and tries to go every week! Wouldn’t that be cool to visit temples all over the world? To sum up, he’s just an adorable boy, with a huge happy grin, and a genuine spirit. His smile is contagious, and you can’t help but love his boyish charisma. He must have said 6 or 7 times how grateful he was to be singing for us. It was as if we were his gift, as opposed to his concert being a gift to us. Endearing. Very endearing that boy. Yes, I am now a David Archuleta fan, but mostly just a fan of his real life. His voice is equally lovely.
