I love music. Am an Archie or an Arch Angel. And am dang proud to be one!
But no more prouder than on 25 April 2011, when my artist of choice publicly showed his support for the Invisible Children’s 25 Campaign.
Held in Nashville, Tennessee, David, along with another fine young artist, Landon Pigg, took to the stage to “Break the Silence” in order to give back to all those who made the “The 25 Campaign” a rousing success.
The ’25′ campaign, which launched mid-February, asks participants to commit to raising $25 for the Invisible Children’s Protection Plan before their 25 hours of silence.
Invisible Children’s target was to get 25,000 people to donate $25 each to raise at least $625,000 for a “Protection Plan to build the (1) region’s first rehabilitation center, (2) implement an early warning security network, and 3) support our international campaign to arrest Joseph Kony, rescue his child soldiers, and bring peace after 25 years of war.”
Communicating in Unique & Relevant Ways
Music has always been an integral part of Invisible 
Children’s awareness efforts. According to Bridgette Bugay, public relations for Invisible Children, “the organization has participated in over 25 national music tours, been the beneficiary of music festivals such as CMJ, has official partnerships with La Blogotheque, Spin, Filter, and Windish, and continues to feature new music in their documentaries. The media-based company understands the cultural impact of music and has worked with countless artists to communicate their mission in unique and relevant ways.”
Unique and relevant, indeed. The night concluded with music in our hearts, fervor in our guts and funding for Invisible Children’s innovative campaign amounting to at least $1.8m!
The Soul Man from Utah is Back!
It was heartwarming to hear David explain how amazing he felt that he could be on the forefront of a fund raiser, not just one of the silent donors [before he became famous].
It was mind boggling to see him perform with sass, soul and “surrender”.
Once again, the enigma that is David Archuleta could not have been more pronounced last night – ramblin’ away between songs, then like a light switch, flips into this prodigious, soul-searing, other-worldly performer!
How’d he do that?

If last night’s performance – especially with his new band – is any indication, there is SOOO MUCH to look forward to, as David enters another fresh era in his career 
Are we reeaaally ready? Guys, I suggest we put all our affairs in order. Check your insurance, last will and testament, etc… Me thinks The Archuletor unwittingly has murder in the works…
Above all, find an Archie buddy to, at the very least, resuscitate you for the “daidly” days ahead.

Vlog has lots of info, and so sweet that David sings for him mom. How can you not love him?
MARLIE -- yeah tons of info. I think David has accepted the fact that as a singer, in the career he has chosen, he has to sell himself and not be conscious about.
I remember two instances when he was so “allergic” about the business side of his music
1. In AI when they were being oriented about what to expect at the point tha treached the Top24: In an interview he mentioned that in the midst of the orientation, he said to himself “so this is what am getting into…”
2. In an interview in SG when he said ” Can I just sing? And let somebody else do all the promo?” Or something to that effect.
LOL! Poor guy. All he wanted to do was sing since he was 6. Didn’t realize what a quagmire he was getting himself into.
Of course it helps that what he was talking about are mostly non-profit and activism-related events in the latest vlog.

The ‘word’ is out! David Archuleta Live in Manila this July!? Is this for real? Really? Well, here’s what we’ve got, David has confirmed that he’ll be in Indonesia on the 16th. Araneta sources (via @nareejo) say he’ll be in Manila for a concert on the 18th. The date is said to be confirmed.
No details has been released but will soon

When David was here a month ago, at least 2 groups were trying to get him to come back. One for a full blown concert and another for a book signing.
So the full blown concert is confirmed. It will held in Araneta Coliseum — the same venue where Taylor Swift performed. It is home to Phil Basketball Assoc, Disney on Ice, big time concert entertainers -- both local & foreign. The place’ acoustics is heavenly. It sits 25,000

Lupita Archuleta, mother of singing sensation David Archuleta, will perform at Club Karamba on Friday, May 6, at 9 p.m.
“I want people to know my love for music and also enjoy a night of Latinos rhythms,” Lupita Archuleta said in an interview with El Observador de Utah.
Archuleta was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, as the youngest of four sisters. She has enjoyed singing, dancing and giving musical performances since she was little.

IT IS CONFIRMED! David Archuleta in Manila 3 on July 18th
Let me share with you the joy that I am feeling right now . Remember, when I told you guys that me and a team of AP peeps are in constant communications with Ovation Productions? Just so you know, after the DALIM2, we never cease communicating with different production firms and provided them numerous reasons why it is a “must” to bring David Archuleta back in Manila. It even brings us to virtually meet David’s agent from CAA, who is responsible for his booking internationally. Today, I got an email from Ovation Productions and was told that they have confirmed the date for the David Archuleta Live in Manila 3.
Yes you read it right! David Archuleta will be back in Manila for the third time. He will be performing at the Araneta Coliseum on July 18th. Ovation have not provided the costs of the tickets yet, but one thing is for sure though, David is back in the Archuleta capital of Asia…Manila. It’s time to gather the Team Hotel and Team Airport once again guys, and make David’s return in Manila the best experience ever. hahaha.

I think this may turn out to be an Asian Tour. I doubt very much that other neighboring Asian Archies won’t try to get him to visit them too. Logistics-wise, it would make sense. Would optimize resources expended for this travel.
If not, all are welcome to descend Manila and help fill up the 25K Araneta seats!

I’m curious, though, JR. Does the place in Manila hold 25,000 or 15,000? Just saw an official-looking picture over on FOD that compiled the various seats in various locations and totalled 14,775.
I’m interested coz I think it would be a GREAT message to send prospective labels were David able to SELL OUT a huge arena like that--and of course, 15,000 would be easier to do than 25,000. lol Just wondering…
various various various… Sorry for the repetition… haha
BOOK -- the whole Araneta coliseum seats 25,000. That is the official seating capacity whenever it is used for Disney on Ice, basketball games — any gig that would use the whole center floor.
For concert purposes, usually 1/4 to a half of the floor is used which means a section of the circular coliseum is closed off for backstage & production purposes. That’s why the available seats for audiences may just be 15,000.
With proper & sufficient promo, 15K is workable. It also depends on ticket prices. Considering a good bunch of David’s fan base here belong to the student/teenager population, the 1st seats to go would be the bleachers. The front row also goes 1st for obvious reasons.
But the advantages of holding a concert in Araneta Coliseum:
1. Every seat can see him because it is ladderized.
2. The acoustics is heavenly.
Am telling you, whenever my preferred artists perform in Araneta, I go cos (1)I know I won’t worry about not seeing them in any seat I choose even if am small; (2) Even w/ murderous screams. I will still hear the singers; (3) I won’t worry about the weather cos it is a closed, air-conditioned setting.
Far, far better than the open-concert venue of MOA.
Sorry for being long-winded. GAH, am just excited cos I have imagined David to perform there for so long now.
This concert will be breathtaking! Prepare yourselves for excellent mp3′s -- at the very least!

The times she would try to get me to dance even though I’m not very good at it. It’s fun seeing how much she enjoys dancing and having a good time.
What’s something sweet your mom does for you?
She is always willing to help whenever I may be having a hard time with something or feeling overwhelmed. She tries to look at things in a way where she doesn’t just try to be understanding, but helps motivate me to know I can find a way to improve whatever situation it may be and overcome it.

David Archuleta, “The Matrix” series co-star Daniel Bernhardt and Donny Osmond (via satellite) are only a few of the celebrities who will be at Utah’s 2011 Entertainment & Choice Awards on May 20 at The Salt Palace in Salt Lake City.
“This is a Hollywood awards show combined with the hospitality of Utah,” show producer Doug Osmond said in a press release.

PEOPLE have always dreamt about a time-travelling machine to relive their happiest memories, but what they don’t realise is that one is already here, in the form of music.
Yes, music, not some sort of top-secret device. Music has the innate capability to transport anyone to virtually anywhere with its lyrics and melody, including the past, and in some cases, the future too. For those of us who listen to music everywhere we go, music has an even stronger connection to us simply because certain songs could have played when big or small events happened in our lives. One such song for me that never fails to make me smile is You Can by David Archuleta, which sends me back to a lovely day in San Diego where I first met him…
Festive music is a great example of how music can make us remember happy times, since those songs are usually played only during a certain season. It gets us into the holiday mood, days before the actual holiday, and when they are heard during other times, they can bring back the fondest of memories.
