David Archuleta to bring Christmas show to the Sherman Theater
American Idol runner-up David Archuleta has announced he will do a Christmas tour again this year. He will make a stop 7 p.m. Dec. 4 in Stroudsburg, Pa., at the Sherman Theater.
Archuleta performed at the Sherman in 2009 in support of his album, “Christmas from the Heart.” The now 20-year-old pop singer gained fame from his 2008 American Idol stint and maintained the wave the same year after releasing his self-titled debut album boasting his mainstream hit “Crush.”
This year’s show, “My Kind of Christmas,” will feature orchestral arrangements of traditional holiday tunes mixed with Archuleta’s pop songs, according to a news release. Tickets are currently on sale for members of the Sherman Theater only. Tickets go on sale to the public at noon Friday for $30, according to the theater’s website.

‘American Idol’s’ David Archuleta announces Christmas tour
‘American idol’ contestant David Archuleta has announced that he will be hitting the road on a Christmas tour starting December 1.
Archuleta’s ‘My Kind of Christmas’ tour will begin in Westbury New York and will end on December 21 in Beaver Creek, Colorado.
The announcement came from David’s official site, which said; “David’s MY KIND OF CHRISTMAS Tour will feature epic orchestral arrangements of both traditional holiday and familiar classics, as well as an assortment of David’s own, melodic pop favorites. The tour promises to showcase more of David’s unique musicality and vocal prowess that his fans have come to love.”
A few of the tour dates have been confirmed, but the site says that more may be announced. The tour dates are as follows;

Ronald -- it is hard to say. I bought my ticket for the Turning Stone VIP show Wednesday and my regular ticket for the NYC show this morning. I’m not sure of the size of all these venues, so it’s hard to say if they will sell out quickly.

I am in the same situation. Holding out for a Midwest show — anywhere — in the Midwest, but not sure how long I should wait. I was going to give it until Monday and then look at options if nothing in the Midwest pops up. I am leaning toward the NYC show.

cootiedoc, we won’t know until about a week before what time we have to sign in for the VIP. If I remember correctly, it was about 4 o’clock last time. I believe this VIP experience may be shorter and quicker, no songs, no q&a, no food, so perhaps it’s later. In any case, if you leave SF at 3, you will be hitting the start of rush hour, I would err on the side of caution and leave earlier if check in time is 4.

Pop singer and American Idol Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta steps on the stage on Saturday this weekend as an entertainment headliner for the Foster Festival, an annual event sponsored by Marine Corps Community Services Okinawa.
The two-day event takes place Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Foster Festival is an annual event that many, both on and off the bases and camps, look forward to each autumn. This festival features free top-notch entertainment, game booths, amusement rides, Kiddie Land for the children, and enough cultural foods to appease the heartiest appetite. Admission is FREE and open to all SOFA-status personnel and local nationals. Access to Foster Festival for local nationals will be via Camp Foster’s Gate #5 conveniently located off of Highway 58 in the Kitamae area of Chatan. No pets, coolers, or alcohol are permitted.
