I got a call from a friend 30 minutes before the presscon was supposed to start if I can be at EDSA Shang stat. Like there was even any decision to be made, right? Good thing Shang is just minutes away from where I work 
I asked permission if I can bring a couple of companions.
At 1st it was strictly just me cos the invitation was considered in my capacity as a blogger of one of his fansites. But I was able to convince that I may need one back-up in case something happens to me or my camera e.g. faint, spazz-out, technical trouble… you never know, right?
So I took an early lunch break (though I didn’t actually take lunch, LOL), called Naree to join me and headed to the presscon to continue chronicling David’s fantastic stay in Manila.
It was a small group but the media outlets sent their best press people, judging by the names that were called.
In the previous thread, I talked about how my cup runneth over with a song and how David’s stint here in Manila has brought him a new level of maturity and more self awareness. That’s the reason why I really, really, as in really requested attendance for this presscon. I usually don’t ask for favors from business associates or even friends but my gut feel says this was a not-to-be-missed event.
Yes the press will cover it but after this session, they will move on. As a fan and a devout chronicler of anythingDavid, I firmly believe that we can offer a better repository of this upclose and personal session here at The David Chronicles. This was how I explained my request to my ever patient who-shall-not-be-named business associate/friend.

So to have to decide and leave all that is very hard. But I think this is something when you trust God. I dunno what’s gonna happen in 2 years. I dunno if I’m gonna have to start from scratch again. But I trust God. I have trusted Him so far and He has never let me down. I don’t want to let Him down cos this decision is for Him. So I trust that He knows my intention and He will provide a way when I get back, like He always has.

Continuing my discussion with Ivory execs re availability of Forevermore to international fans, I got clarification about how they can be best delivered outside the Philippines.
As initial discussions have been made and several communications exchanged among admins of fansites. Archuleta Philippines has taken the helm of this concerted project for a more streamlined cascading. So always watch out for AP announcements

The recording of Nandito Ako is exquisite. Simple arrangement, David’s voice front and center and resonant, a melody open to David’s little soulful touches. Why did the American producers not get it right??
Part 1 Wow David expresses himself so well. I can see how much growth he has had through all these experiences.
His statements about wanting to share the Series and Music with all of his fans was very heartwarming.
“I could thank them forever and it wouldn’t be enough” was a statement David made after his Idol experience and he is still thanking us.

One thing that struck me & actually concerns me is that the OPM album “Forevermore” will be the only music David will record before he leaves on his mission. David said he would be recording songs here in the U.S. when he returns from Manila to be released over time during his mission. This is what we are hoping for, however will he have the time since his stay in the Philippines has been extended? Just thinking out loud…

I learned that his extended stay in Manila is just a product of opportunities presenting themselves as he prepares to go home. So he is taking advantage of these wonderful things which also help him realize his promises to his fans -- not just for Filipino Archies.

My channel was taken down, NOT because of the presscon vids. Those were legally secured as I got an invite to the event as an international blogger and the organizers knew I was filiming them the whole time.
My channel was taken down because of 3 alleged infringement alerts
1st -- A video interview of Direk Mac Alejandre feat at Paparazzi sometime in Jan
2nd -- A video of my footage of the NanditoAko trailer shown during the Grand Fans Day. Since we were allowed to film, most of us thought it was ok to upload. A lot of us who filmed and uploaded that premiere trailer got infringement alerts. Remember, a lot of vids were taken down?
3rd -- and the cause of the taking down of my channel was #45-133 vid -- a 20-sec video of David inviting people to watch Nandito Ako. This was shown last night around midnight or before TV5 ended its program. I thought since it was a video, promoting the show, why not promote it online?
We have to recognize that TV5 has the copyrights to such materials. What got me confused was that in the last 2 weeks, all other uploads I made from TV5 feeds were simply blocked WW, no copyright infringement alerts. So I thought a simple 20-sec video of David inviting people to watch Nandito Ako would be treated similarly.
We can see I was wrong. We have to give TV5, what is TV5′s rights.
But am asking for reconsideration given that the treatment of the videos is not that consistent within a channel. Never mind all the other videos that show full episodes of their programs and go scot-free.
My main concern with the taking down are the wonderful comments that serve as promo tools for David plus the fact that local & international sites & media link to my vids for their articles. All of them are now dead links. The other issue is that perhaps they can take down all the videos from TV5 feeds and retain those that are my personal footage or not related to TV5 at all. Just an idea…
There is also the option of me re-uploading close to 200 vids. Yikes! but , what can I do (weak smile)…
So let us pray that TV5 exercises benevolence and understanding towards a mere fan like me who just strives to promote & chronicle my artist of choice in the best way possible, and as a consequence, also help promote their newest project, here & abroad (and feed the ODD of the fandom, right?).

JR, I sent several emails to YouTube when my channel was taken down *sniff* and I made the case too that it only helped David and, yes, I did not want to lose all the great comments people had left. I also made clear that I was willing to follow their guidelines n the future Apparently it was in the hands of YouTube and not whoever made the initial complaint. I never got my channel back *sniff*
If you don’t get any reply back, I’m sure other David fans will help as well.

I watched your lst vid from the presscon yesterday & then went back later last night & they were blocked. I was so upset!! I watched 2-5 today and hope the rest will be up soon. David was amazing!! I can’t believe how much he has matured in his abillity to speak during these conferences! The part about his mission brought tears to my eyes! Thanks JR for doing all of this for all of us fans! I can’t tell you how much we all appreciate it!
