Back-2-Back Signing Sessions
It was a difficult day to #FollowArchuleta. I had a deadline to beat at work and it being a Saturday, I had some pressing domestic chores to attend to. Motherhood duties beckon, LOL.
So much as I want to line up at the earliest for David’s last back-to-back signing sessions, I could not.
So am thankful for Lorma & Naree who made sure I got my Bench purchases in time to get the early entrant tag.
But even when I got there 2.5 hours before the event started, finding parking space was a challenge. It was so full and the waiting line was uuuunbelievable, I didn’t even make it Megamall’s entrance.
So I ended up parking at The Shang!

DA – WAIT a-capella @ The Block, SM North (18 Feb 2012)
It was so funny or bittersweet. David started talking about this being his last performance, when the signing session had not even started… only David!

And, this is BenchTV’s footage
Interesting that @lorms was able to film this last performance from the left side of the stage – which was what you saw on the Ustream. Meanwhile Naree took the front
and I was able to find a post at the right side. We had all angels covered! And we didn’t even plan on it!
DA – Narito Ako acapella @ Bench Launch SM The Block (18 Feb 2012)
All in all, this was such a surprisingly eventful day. You see I didn’t expect to get so much from the back-2-back autograph sessions cos I was ill-prepared with all the other tasks I had that day.
But it turned out so much more than expected. I didn’t expect to get anything signed cos I wasn’t sure if there was enough time to buy the Bench items so we can be given a free pass inside the venue. But we did – on both SM Megamall and The Block signing!
Didn’t expect to have music that afternoon, and there we were, mesmerized by two a-capellas!
Thank goodness to co-Archies who were willing to get the Bench purchases for me and to other fans willing to give up their spot so I can take a better shot. Thanks also to my brother – who busted me for being there (LOL). He had a breakfast meeting with a client at Gloria Maris Resto which was just across the activity center. So they shot the Wait footage, while they were on the look out for me. He knows me too well, LOL!
When we met at the escalator as I was about to enter the activity center. Naree & Lorms were wondering who he was – probably because he was TALL – a 6-footer! He was impressed with David of course but found him talkative! I had to stop myself from saying that David could talk the whole day and we will be fine with it. I think that is sharing too much information, right? Even between siblings…
I likewise didn’t expect to learn from Kari that David opened our gifts the night before (the ones Naree and I were unable to give during the Bench Launch @ Trinoma) and how much they appreciated them. To hear Kari say that it was a most thoughtful gift… you can imagine how that made me feel
I also didn’t expect that we will be allowed to have all the pictures that we have, signed by him. He was so generous with his time and attention.

Thanks for the updates JR. Hope all is going well.
HEIDI -- am uploading 1 more video -- of him singing WAIT acapella. Cool one.
I miss him terribly but what can we do. Good things do must end (weak smile)
Oh I’ve been on the lookout for Wait accapella.
Yes that loss is painful!! Especially with him going for two years. This last 5 weeks has been heaven and I appreciate you sharing it with us.
You’ll love this. I’m over the limit on tweets for the day. Guess the Welcome Home David Archuleta tweets and retweets pushed me over the limit. They can’t say I quit ha! ha!
I’m concerned with Percy’s message saying that they won’t stream NanditoAko for us as it is showing. He did say they would be doing something for us. Hoping for a DVD eventually but I’ll need an interpreter.
Will someone be interpreting the sessions?? That really helps. Not that you need anything else to do.
I will help trend when I’m no longer banned. ha! Banned from twitter at my age!! Love it! What we do for David. Later!!
Anyone care for 320 kbps MP3 of WYA from Talentadong Pinoy?

Love he little goodbye speech and Acapella Wait!! What a guy!! So gifted and so willing to share. What a ride it has been.
Watched the first episode of NanditoAko. Saw it well on the Computer. Didn’t know about the translation @ArchuletaPhillipines but reviewed it after. It was easy to understand what was going on because of all the previews and previous translations. Thank You Proud of David Archuleta for taking this project on and he does well. Like Naree, It’s an adjustment to see him so serious. Aw the little girl and boy did well and now we know Josh saved Anya. Sweet!!
Looking forward to more.
Thanks JR Hope you are getting much need rest!
P.s Will read your instructions above in case I miss an episode. I’m technically challenged!!
Bench Idol: David Archuleta
“American Idol” Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta has the makings of a Philippine idol. The talented American singer we’re all looking up to–for his talent and boyish charm–joins the international list of endorsers for one of the Philippines’ top local retail brands, Bench.
The 22-year-old Archuleta received his ticket to stardom when he won second-place (finishing as runner-up against David Cook) on Season 7 of American Idol in 2008 where he was actually the youngest contestant. But before American Idol, his talent helped him earn a performance at the Utah Talent Competition, The Jenny Hones Show and Star Search where he was crowned Junior Vocal Champion in 2003.
“Crush,” the first single from his self-titled debut album entered number two in the charts later that summer of the American Idol season while the full-length album followed in November. After which, Archuleta’s album went gold within several months and the singer spent the first half of 2009 touring with English pop rock band McFly in the U.K. and singer Demi Lovato in America.
To date, he is shooting for TV5’s series “Nandito Ako” and is recording for his OPM album “Forevermore.” And on top of these, he is currently the new poster boy for clothing brand Bench and professional hair care label Bench Fix.
Cool and casual in Bench pieces, David Archuleta proves that his boy-next-door looks are just as alluring as his singing voice. Bright plaid button downs, graphic tees, and track jackets give him a look reminiscent of a school boy with a face that’s hard to ignore.
David Archuleta certainly moves forward from his music career, adding acting and modeling on his list, with Bench and professional hair care label Bench Fix.
