PRIMER: ROAD TO MAKEOVER AIRED ON 10 MAY 2012
DA SEGMENT OF FULL EMHEP EPISODE AIRED 13 MAY 2012

Decided to give this its own page, now that the full episode has been aired
The DA segment on today’s episode turned out to be shorter than the one aired during the primer. But we have both videos here.
The good thing with the epi today, we have a better picture of David w/ And, Mom & Grandma
They picked the best day to air this!! How happy their Mother’s Day is now!!
HEIDIJOY -- yeah best day ever. I just love the love between Lupe & David. With Lupe always there for him
And David, always for her
Oh, those videos of David and his mom -- - -- - makes me just love him all the more. They are so caring of one another.
Aw! “Now look at what you made me do” Tears and love for sure.
Can just imagine the phone call or skype yesterday!! Beautiful!!
Only one more Mother’s Day to go!!
pocoelsy from FOD posted this:
“… Heard from one of the missionary’s mom that David got to skype with his fam for about 1 hour, if it’s true I’m so happy for him and his family, must be hard for both sides especailly his mom!!!
…”
Am a happy camper
So glad to hear David got some “family time” on skype. I’m sure his mom is missing him like crazy (I know I am
)

Word is someone from AIS11 will be singing Imagine.
Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyy?
Wel, good luck whoever you are!
Dumb -- are these people dumb? Look what happened to that one guy who sang The Long and Winding Road……even Simon asked him why he sang it. And he was voted off that week.
Waiting for someone to sing “Imagine” is like waiting to see someone break a record by a favorite athlete. I’m ready to get this over with.
Aside from that iconic performance, what I remember most when David sang Imagine was the reaction after the performance. Tons of videos were uploaded in response to that performance. Testimonies, reviews from people of all walks of life. People who didn’t even care to vote started uploading videos on YT about how much that performance affected them.
I have not seen such impact of any Idol performance like that… EVER!
What AI & Joshua did tonight was just make me miss David more.
Ok I watched it again.
Where is the beauty of the song? Why mar the song’s message with yet another scream?
Am sorry but that just doesn’t cut it. Even by a hairline.
pamela pike @pikepss
@DavidArchie Why do they keep trying to sing “Imagine” ?? Haven’t they heard David Archuleta’s rendition was a masterpiece? Silly Idols!

Not sure if this is really Simon though
Simon Cowell@IdolBlogs
David archuleta’s version of Imagine was way better than Joshua’s. But I’m glad he ddnt scream on the song.
I don’t know why anyone who knows anything about Idol would ever choose to sing “Imagine” on that show.
As many said in the blogs and tweets you posted above, JR, David’s performance was iconic, historical and magnificent! (Well, the word magnificent was mine
)
Joshua is really good, and when he sings a gospelized version of a song, yeah, it is usually pretty amazing. But, Joshua lacks heart, for me. His eyes show almost no emotion and he screams a bit too much (sort of like Adam Lambert.)
There just wasn’t the beauty and heart that David brought forth when he sang Imagine…THAT was a stellar performance.
jr, thanks so much for compiling all the “imagine” comments!
marlie, i’m with you, i’m not a fan of joshua & adam’s screams. sometimes, jessica’s screams are a bit much too.
me again, lol. on a more positive note, i should have added that i actually thought joshua did a very nice job with “imagine” but it didn’t touch me like david’s version. i would like for either him or jessica to win this year.
OS posted DA seeing his huge Bench billboard
After seeing the BENCH FiX Billboard on the last day in Manila. We had Sherwin our driver drive by it a few times. Just could not believe how big it was. It’s just crazy.
@kariontour also posted DA taking a pix
Some of u posted pix in front of @DavidArchie BENCH ad. We pulled over on the hwy 2 get this. TY @benchtm & @BCbench

@JoAnnBanaga
In the Idol world, IMAGINE will always be associated with @DavidArchie. Joshua is superb but no one does it better than David Archuleta.
Jessica joins the finale
That’s all
So glad for Jessica…and I like Phillip more than Joshua. For me, it’s about connecting, and Joshua doesn’t connect with me. There is something aloof in his performances. Yes, it looks like he is into it -- but I just don’t feel it. I think he lost votes because of that, as his voice is truly spectacular.
Jessica can sing like an angel. She is young, like David was on Idol, and her potential is right there waiting to be realized.
Phillip is his own person -- he does it his way, regardless of the coaching and jibes from the judges. I love that about him. I think he connects with the fans and that is why he is in the finale.
Hmmm, interesting thought:
When Aaron Kelly sang “The Long and Winding Road,” he was voted off.
When Joshua Ledet sang “Imagine,” he was voted off.
Lesson for the future: do not try to sing a song that David Archuleta sang on Idol….you cannot compete.
