It all began here, at the American Idol Finale, when David sang Apologize with One Republic. David’s smooth whiskey voice against the crystal falsetto of Ryan Tedder was the first time we really got to hear David sing with someone outside of the AI contestants. Right from the beginning we see that David knows how to be a singing partner, modulating his voice to fit in with that of the other person, never trying to “take over the stage.”
Over the course of the next four years, David sang duets with the ease at which he sang solo. Always blending his voice with that of his singing partner, he makes the perfect compliment to both male and female voices. Below is a little walk through David’s duet history.

March 2012 – David and Libbie Linton – Don’t Give Up – although not a live performance, this is surely the best duet of all

One of my fave duets is “Sound of Silence” with Landon Pigg. David harmonizes really good. And gosh, I always love his lower pitched.

This is the best that I could do for this video for now. I was unable to get the original footage from TV5 of Archuleta Phil’s tribute to David. The tape was used and recorded over
Was able to record the whole event except for that segment because I was onstage singing to him! So this is all I was able to piece together -- half from my cam, a few secs from lenesse and the other half from the UStream
JR -- that was such a gift! David was swallowing his tears through most of it. Beautiful!

Martha -- as I tweeted earlier, that easily could be the message of all ARCHIES around the world. We are here, waiting for him, not forgetting him.
We were just blessed that a forum was given to us (or we looked for a forum, LOL). Sometime soon I will write the story about how the tribute came about.
Aside from David being moved, best part for me was when Kricket finally got her chance to meet & hug David. It took 4 years, but we did it! It was more than I ever hope for when we were planning the tribute
Jackryan -- I know, we all love David. He was just provided so many opportunities there that he hasn’t had here: to act, model, appearances,and of course singing/recording in just three weeks. And the fans supported everytime. The fans here are kind of spread out, in Europe and South America the same.
We keep in touch by the internet, where we feel as one. But you’re right, we all love and appreciate him the same and are patiently waiting for him.

Let me just say that, if you have not seen or heard David’s Spanish number, you are in for a very memorable musical treat. David’s artistry continues to enfold and soars to remarkable heights during the performance of this song.
Oftentimes, the refinement of his technical skills astounds me – he never veers from the proper technical approach in his singing style. Yet, at the same time, his voice sounds fluid, relaxed, liberated and soulful.
His Spanish pronunciation is exquisite and meaningful. He feels every word, every nuance and this is the key to David Archuleta’s musical gifts. He is a vocal narrator of the highest order and makes absolutely certain that his musical heart and passion reaches the center of our soul.
And, did you notice the depth of his lower range at the beginning of the main section of the song, as he sang the words “No hay bella melodia”? The rich timbre of his baritone voice has definitely increased in volume – just gorgeous. This will continue to grow and flourish with each passing year.
In closing, the strong visual and aural presentation of this song was extraordinary.
