OK, this has been a terribly busy work week for me. Hardly had time to go online and properly do my Archu duties!

But even if focused at work and harriedly going about my mum choirs, memories of @DavidArchie manage to sneak up at the oddest hours!

Like when I was driving home after doing the groceries, where would I find myself? Driving by the last spot where I said my goodbyes to David. Arrrghhh!!!!

I remember him walking fast but not-so-furious to the waiting car that would finally take him away from us… away from Manila. A couple of feet from the van, I stopped following him. You know to give him space… But inches before he reached the van, he turned to me, waved and with a smile mouthed “Bye… Thank you!”

What a perfect photo opp, right? A perfect ending to my chronicling of his 38-day stay in Manila. Instead, as he said his last farewell, I lowered my cam and achingly savored that moment. Forever committed to memory. Am sure you would understand…

Perci was looking on and I almost blurted out, “Take me with you!” Good thing I didn’t! LOL

So, that spot has a special place in my heart. Heck, EDSA Shang IS a special place for a lot of Archies with all the shenanigans and extraordinary times that happened there. Ha-ha-ha. But every time I pass that spot, I heave a sigh of you-know-what

The next day, on my way to work, I saw this car in EDSA. Now I happen to love some Mini Cooper. So I can’t help but smile whenever I see one on the road. But something was oddly familiar with this particular Mini Cooper… Hmmmm… I was thinking, “This one reminds me of the car David used for a photoshoot…”

As I looked at its plate number, I LOL and said to myself, “What are the chances!”

When I reached my office I checked on David photos and confirmed my hunch. It is the car! The same actual car David used for Forevermore album at Pin Antonio’s lovely house!

See what I mean by odd hours?! Isn’t it strange how part and parcel David has become of our stream of consciousness? Perhaps more than we care to admit?

What could be more heartwarming than friends, fans and admirers coming together for a cause while celebrating the music of beloved idol who is far and away pursuing his personal mission? A gala in honor of David was held last April 6 at the Newport Beach Marriott Bayview in Los Angeles, California.

An auction was held to benefit two charities close to David’s heart — ChildFund International and CMN Hospitals

Happy Halloween everyone!

A friend shared these lines because of some personal situation he is in. Funny enough, it resonated with my current Archie life.

Doesn’t the above quotation work both ways? For us fans, and for David as well?

Six months into his self-chosen 2-year hiatus, the separation has exacted a “distance” on his Archies worldwide that may be both liberating and restraining. As we can imagine, David must also be going through the same thing. That is bold and fearless.

Not physical space. A virtual chasm that undoubtedly we are willing to bridge, intent on going that distance. Because we know a good thing when we see one… even if – FOR NOW – we don’t see him nearly enough.

David has always said that he wants us to take the journey with him. Wouldn’t going the distance be the perfect act?

David’s Liner Notes

There is no one I can thank more than my Father in Heaven. He is my light, and illuminates those hard paths to take so that I know how to get through them. Some people may not understand why I have made the decisions I have chosen to make, but that is the reason why I made this album. I did my best to let people understand where I try to come from through this album.

The next group I’d like to thank are the very talented arrangers/producers/musicians. Kurt Bestor and John Hancock, thank you for having such great attitudes about this. I know it has been alot to handle in such a small amount of time, but you guys have been such troopers. John with your cool choices and ideas you always keep things interesting. And for Kurt, your humor always gets to me. The heart you bring to a song is magical. This would not have been possible without the two of you. I also want to thank Mike Green and Blair for helping out in the studio.

I’d like to thank Gina Orr for helping make things happen, and keeping me in the direction that I feel good about. Thanks for always being caring in how things are done and decisions are made. Also thanks to Kari Sellards for your hard work, helping me stay on track and keeping on top of things. It makes things so much easier to get through with an easy-going personality like yours. Thanks for helping me make sure I have everything I need, too! I also want to thank Jon Hunt for helping me finish up more music. Let the guessing game begin!

After a little over 2 months of being away, David’s fan sites are holding on and still going strong What’s more Forevermore MV still reigns supreme over at MYXph for the 9th week!

Now we get some new buzz and new pic (!) of a new single from his Forevermore album (Thanks Kari for keeping the fires burning for the fans.) PLUS gorgeous BTS photos from Arlu Gomez’ afternoon with David.

While speculations are running high on the BEGIN. tracks, that album is set to drop in August yet. Meanwhile, let the guessing games begin for the 2nd single to come out of Forevermore!
