,
Let’s open this post with some trivia bits 🙂
Did you know that Stadium of Fire is broadcast live to over one million military men and women in more than 100 countries via the American Forces Network? That’s according to America’s Freedom Festival at Provo
Did you know
that this is SOF redux for David?
That in 2003, when he was just 12 years old, he sang the national anthem after becoming Star Search 2’s Junior Vocal Champion?
Did you know that this is not the 1st time that Brad and David will be sharing the same stage (though performing separately)? The two met briefly in 2008 when David presented Paisley with the award for Favorite Country Male Artist at the American Music Awards
Well only about a day away until Brad Paisley and David Archuleta headline the best stadium show in America, right?! Meantime, we just have to contend with some pre-SOF related vids

Great interviews! Fantastic screencaps. He is growing up before our eyes! His performance of Falling Stars was breathtaking and to think he was improvising because the band’s flight was delayed. Agree with your obsevations Marlie. Can’t imagine who could not love him. Excited about the upcoming concert. Yea!
I have all 4 interviews in HD quality and have been trying to upload them for 3 hours now. I dunno why YT is not being cooperative 🙁

in the spirit of this project and independence day in the u.s., here’s david’s blog from july 5, 2008.
“Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you guys had a good time for the holiday. I just finished watching some fireworks from my hotel room here in las vegas haha. We had the day off today which was pretty nice. I ate lunch with Jason and then I met with a relative who lives down here and spent some time looking around, got some shorts haha. I must have lost the ones I packed or something but’s it good now. Then we had dinner at the Paris hotel which was really good. And after that is when I watched the fireworks. Tomorrow we’ll be doing our show here in las vegas! The tour’s been great so far and the crowds have been crazy! It’s pretty cool. Anyway, have a good night everyone!”

Ricky Lo of Philippine Star Talks to David
The flipside of David Archuleta
CONVERSATIONS With Ricky Lo The Philippine Star
Updated July 03, 2011 12:00 AM
So you think you know the American Idol well enough just because he has been here twice (and will soon be back on July 18 for a solo concert at the Big Dome)? In an exclusive phone Conversation, David reveals more of his ‘other side’ but not so much the ‘down’ referred to in latest album.
Zoom
Perhaps this much his fans know about David Archuleta who finished runner-up to his namesake, David Cook, in the seventh season of American Idol:
David will turn 21 on Dec. 28. He was born in Miami, Florida (to Jeff Archuleta and Lupe Marie Mayorga who is a salsa singer and dancer from Honduras) and his family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, when David was six years old, at about the same time when he started singing, inspired by a Les Miserables video. He’s a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the Boy Scouts of America.
“That Les Miz video got me started on the road to where I am now,” said David.
At age 10, he started performing publicly as contestant in the Utah Talent Competition in which he sang Dolly Parton’s version of I Will Always Love You.
“I won in the Child Division,” David recalled, confirming an entry in the Internet. “Maybe because my performance got me a standing ovation.”
At age 12, David performed on several episodes of Star Search, finishing the Junior Vocal Champion which he eventually lost to a girl contestant.
Then came American Idol where he stirred the proverbial hornet’s nest when he sang the John Lennon song Imagine during the show’s 1970s-themed edition when he skipped one verse and sang another one since he, according to a critic, wanted to avoid singing the line “no religion, too” because of his faith.
“I sang the third verse instead of the first because it was my favorite and it has a great message,” David explained during our phone Conversation. “My religion had nothing to do with it.”
That explanation and many other things are some of the revelations David made in this piece.
Will David sing Imagine during his concert at the Big Dome on July 18? That remains to be seen. But for sure, he will do songs from his latest album, The Other Side Of Down.
Meanwhile, uncover more on the flipside of David Archuleta.
How do you feel about this your third visit to the Philippines?
“Oh, I’m really excited to go back to the Philippines. I’m looking forward to performing for my fans there. The last time I was there (for a showcase at a mall), I did only a few songs but now I’m doing a whole show, just myself.”
What do you remember most from your previous visits to the Philippines?
“I remember the fans. I think that’s what I always remember a lot, the interaction with them and things like that. I remember the mangoes. I always tell my friends about the mangoes when they ask me about the Philippines. They soooooo good!”
This time around, would you have enough time to see more of the Philippines after your concert?
“You know, I’m not sure. But I think I might have a little bit of time. The first time I was there, we were not even allowed to go out or leave the hotel during our free time. I wanted to go out and try to ride the jeepney but I didn’t have the chance to. This time, I will ride a jeepney so that I can say, ‘I went to the Philippines and I rode a jeepney’.”
You started in the business at age six. Don’t you feel that maybe you’ve missed part of your childhood?
“No. I mean, show business is part of my childhood. I didn’t have any other way of spending my childhood. To be honest, I still feel like I’m too much of a kid. I don’t know. But I feel like I never have to grow up. You can get older and you can still feel young. You can be young at heart no matter how old you are. I still love to go to theme parks, I still like to play videogames, I still love watching cartoons and stuff like that.”
Can you still do what ordinary folks do now that you are rich and famous — you know, like strolling in the mall and things like that?
“You know what I’d like to go to? Swap meet! You know, I like the people who are working there…It’s their own shop, it’s their own stuff. It’s just kind of exciting to me.”
How different are you now from two years ago when you were in the Philippines? What can we expect from your concert on July 18?
“You can see how I’ve changed in my latest album. It’s a lot more light-hearted, it’s more fun, the words in the songs are reflective of the kind of person that I was. I worked hard to make sure that I conveyed to everyone what the songs were saying.”
In your concert on July 18, aren’t you going to include Imagine in your repertoire? It was one of your favorite songs on American Idol.
“Sometimes I put it in there and sometimes I don’t. I don’t like to sing it too much because it was such an overwhelming experience singing that song. I didn’t expect the reaction that I was gonna get from it. I’m not sure what it was I did. I just sing songs that I love. I don’t know if I can ever get that moment again that I did on American Idol when I sang (Imagine) there. That song changed my life. I get nervous singing that song because I want it to be good.”
Changed your life in what way?
“Changed my life in the sense that it made people pay attention to what I was doing. It was amazing how people connected to that song and to my performance. That song is very close to me and I was happy to discover that other people could feel the same way.”
The song was controversial because some people thought that you avoided singing the line “No religion, too.” They thought that your being a Mormon had something to do with it. Could you clarify that?
“The whole song has an amazing message. The first verse is the one that everyone knows so I chose to sing that verse. The line ‘no religion, too’ is in the second verse. My other favorite verse is the last one. But then, I could only sing one verse on American Idol so I chose the first verse. In the third verse, it says, ‘Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can,’ and I love that line. It asks everyone a question, ‘I wonder if you can.’ And then it says, ‘Imagine all the people living life in peace.’ It’s such a great message — the brotherhood of men. That line gives me goose bumps. I would say, ‘You know what, I don‘t know if I would be here next week, so what do I want to say?’ So I picked that song and I picked that line.”
Would you consider the Beatles among your musical influences?
“Even if some people don’t want to admit it, the Beatles have influenced everyone in one way or another because they changed the direction where the music was going; they really extended what music could do, they introduced a new sound into the world and it forever changed what music could do to people. My other musical influences? To name a few…Natalie Cole, Stevie Wonder, John Meyer, Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz and Mariah Carey.”
Have you worked with any Filipino artist?
“I did a duet with Charice on a Christmas album. We sang Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Charice is always very nice; she’s a down-to-earth person. She’s very grateful for everything that has happened to her. She’s very close to her mom and that’s what I like about her because I’m very close to my mom, too. I’m always happy to hear her talk about her mom.”
Hmmmm, how’s your love life?
“My love life? You know, I haven’t really done anything with my love life. I feel like there’s never been any reason to rush it. And so I’m still just waiting for the right person. If the right girl comes, then I would start getting into my love life. Right now, I’m not focusing on that.”
What kind of girl would be appealing to you?
“That’s always the first question that people ask me…all the time. You know, a blonde or brunette? Hahahahaha! I would tell them, ‘You know, I don’t even notice. A lot of times I don’t even remember how someone looks like.’ I can remember hanging out with someone but for some reason I have a hard time remembering the face. I can remember what I talk to them about, sometimes I remember their names. Sometimes my own friends, I just don’t think about how they look.”
What about girls?
“It’s the same with girls. I mean, it’s important to be attracted to someone in the way they look but I think the more important thing is to be attracted to their personality, someone who is very respectful to themselves and also to other people, and someone who can have a good time, someone who is funny, who can make you laugh, who can make you smile, and who is adventurous, who likes to go out …you know, eat in a good restaurant, go hiking or rock-climbing.”

Archuleta, Paisley rock the crowd at Stadium of Fire
PROVO — The Stadium of Fire, held Saturday at LaVell Edwards Stadium, began reverently and built to a deafening roar.
“Tonight we begin on a serious note,” host Chad Lewis said while introducing the evening’s first act, a musical rendition of the Gettysburg Address, part of a tribute to the Civil War.
Immediately after, the Stadium of Fire Chorus began singing “God Bless the U.S.A” while a group of paragliders flew into the stadium, carrying the American flag.
“That’s what I call getting things off to a flying start,” Lewis said.
The National Anthem was then sung, first by a video of a 13-year-old David Archuleta singing on the Stadium of Fire stage and then by Archuleta himself, who took over the duties from his younger self after a few lines of lyrics.
Archuleta, a Utah native and American Idol runner-up, was greeted warmly by his home crowd, but the real volume came when headliner Brad Paisley took to the stage, greeted by screams and a storm of camera flashes from the crowd.

From SALT LAKE TRIBUNE
Paisley, Archuleta provide fun American Saturday Night
Provo • The Stadium of Fire was a night dedicated to God and country Saturday at LaVell Edwards Stadium, and, by God, did country dominate.
Country music, that is.
Country singer Brad Paisley proved to be the perfect headliner to cap the well-run America’s Freedom Festival’s signature event, and Utah country group Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band won the first Stadium of Fire Talent Search, determined by the crowd’s vote after the final three competitors (whittled down from more than 400 entries) performed on stage in front of the near-capacity crowd of about 47,000 spectators.
Because the patriotic night focused somewhat around the bullets that have defended America during this country’s wars, here are some bulleted points about the warm evening:
• Paisley, with his traditional white hat and shirt emblazoned by a red, white and blue Superman logo, was an inspired choice as headliner. His 10-song set was dominated by songs that shared humor with proud-to-be-American themes, including “This Is Country Music,” “Old Alabama,” and, of course, the fitting anthem “American Saturday Night.” Absent, though, was his ode to liquor, “Alcohol.” Not a surprise.
• David Archuleta, the Utah recording artist and former “American Idol” finalist, opened for Paisley with a five-song, 20-minute set that included “The Other Side of Down,” “Crush,” and “My Country ‘Tis of Thee.” Wearing a red, white and blue-colored plaid shirt and flanked by eight dancers during part of his set, he was in fine form with his soulful vocals. At one point, he told the crowd, “It’s hot out here,” but because of the family-friendly vibe, chose not to start riffing lines from Nelly’s “Hot in Herre.”
• On a side note, whoever programmed the music before the concert should recognize that Bryan Adams’ “Summer of ’69” song is not family-friendly. And why did the night’s prelude to its impressive fireworks focus on a definitely-not-family-friendly Katy Perry?
• Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band won the crowd’s support with their Bakersfield Sound-inspired “Working Man Blues.” Brigham Young University pop-rock band The Whits performed “Give Me Back My Heart,” and 11-year-old Eve Asplund wowed the crowd with an especially odd choice of song, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” popularized by Jennifer Hudson in the film “Dreamgirls.” While far from age-appropriate, the song demonstrated that she needs to let Piers Morgan assess her awesome chops on “America’s Got Talent.”
• While the night was more about flag-waving than team rivalries, one of the evening’s sponsors, Ryan Smith of tech company Qualtrics, told the crowd that although his company’s official colors included red, he instructed his staff to wear blue shirts at the show in support of the Cougars. And besides being hosted by former BYU football star Chad Lewis, the night also included the BYU basketball team being honored for its recent successful season. And no, Jimmer Fredette was not present, but he did speak via satellite.
• A crisis was thankfully averted when four skydivers from Skydive Utah narrowly missed knocking over some of the 720 Stadium of Fire dancers.
• One of the show’s sponsors, radio station 97.1 ZHT, had its host tell some jokes before the evening began. One of the funnier ones referred to the fact that you may be in Utah when more people are at the Stadium of Fire to see Archuleta than Paisley. But really, the night belonged to Artie Hemphill, his band and Brad Paisley on a great American Saturday Night.

HERALD TRIBUNE SOF coverage
‘Sky concert’ fireworks rock Stadium of Fire
Stadium of Fire got the crowds on their feet Saturday night with dancers, skydivers, big-name talent and a fireworks “concert in the sky.”
To the music of “God Bless America,” four skydivers executed landings in a relatively tiny space on the field as the crowd held its breath. The first and second divers landed feet from stadium seating. The third missed a barrier by inches, and the fourth — who happened to be flying the American flag behind him — clipped the same barrier with his feet, tumbling onto the field. The flag was grabbed up and marched across the field by military in uniform. The diver walked off the field unharmed.
Utah native David Archuleta made an unannounced early appearance on stage to sing the national anthem followed by the frisson of a flyover of the Hill Air Force Base 388th Fighter Wing accompanied by fireworks, which segued into an apparently live transmission to the audience from a member of the military on active duty.
Later in the show, Archuleta opened for Brad Paisley. Archuleta found fame on American Idol and established himself with his song “Crush” which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since sold two million downloads.
“These mountains are beautiful, Utah is just beautiful,” Archuleta told the crowd between songs. “I love it here. It’s crazy how many of you are here. I love being home and want to thank all of you guys for the support you have given me.” He closed by singing a patriotic salute to the troops.
Brad Paisley took the stage at 9:18 p.m. as cameras flashed and the crowd thundered. Paisley is the winner of three Grammys, 14 Country Music Association Awards, and 14 Academy of County Music Awards. He has 18 number-one singles and nine studio albums.
Former BYU and professional football player Chad Lewis introduced a commemoration of the Gettysburg Address and Civil War by saying that the true winner of the nation’s seminal war was freedom. The Gettysburg Address “set America back on the path to our higher ideals,” he said. The Stadium of Fire Chorus than sang a dramatic musical interpretation of Lincoln’s famous speech. The music was commisioned especially for the event by America’s Freedom Festival.

Archeleta, a Utah native and American Idol runner-up, was greeted warmly by his home crowd, but the real volume came when headliner Brad Paisley took to the stage, greeted by screams and a storm of camera flashes from the crowd.
Kayla Johnson and her grandmother Annette Reid attended the event together, wearing matching cowgirl hats and Brad Paisley t-shirts.
“He’s one fine looking man,” Kayla Johnson said.
Johnson’s and Reid’s admiration for Paisley went beyond mere looks. Reid said his music “makes you feel good” and Johnson said his songs have emotional depth.
“His music, I think, it’s more heartfelt than other country songs,” Johnson said.
“I like his humor. He’s obviously a very good entertainer and guitarist, but I like anybody that can laugh at themselves.” -Sara Torgerson
Sara Torgerson and her son Aaron stopped at the event to see Paisley on a road trip from their home in Whitefish, Mont. to Reno.
“I like his humor,” Torgerson said. “He’s obviously a very good entertainer and guitarist, but I like anybody that can laugh at themselves.”
Paisly didn’t say much during his performance, focusing instead on his music. When he did address the crowd, expressed his gratitude for members of the armed services and his love for the United States.
“We’re gonna stay here as long as they’ll let us and then watch the greatest fireworks display in the world,” Paisley said.
Paisley’s act alternated between high energy and melancholy songs. Before one slower song, Paisley asked how many people in the crowd were in love, drawing cheers from the audience.
“Well, this is the song where you kiss her,” he said, leading into his song “She’s Everything.”
Troy Houghten, of Draper, and his children Tayler and Tate had attended the event once before, but were extra excited to see Paisley perform.
“We actually came for Brad Paisley this year,” Houghten said. “We’re big country music fans so that was just a plus.”

Tate said he liked the fireworks, while Tayler was more encompassing in her praise.
“I like it all,” she said.
Before Archuleta and Paisley took the stage, the three finalists from the Stadium of Fire Talent Search performed. Provo-based rock band, The Whits, country music quintet Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band and 11- year-old Eve Asplund all did their best to woo the 40,000- plus crowd for a $10,000 prize.
Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse won the competition. Initially, the winner was meant to be chosen by text message votes from the audience but before the announcement, Talent Search host Stephen Jones said the system had been overwhelmed and broken. Instead, the finalists were named off and selected by the volume of cheering from the crowd.
Shortly after the announcement, the sky erupted as hundreds of fireworks were lit off around the stadium.
The event was part of America’s Freedom Festival, which includes of number of events around Provo. Earlier Saturday, as part of the city’s Colonial Days at the Crandall Historical Printing Museum, guests were put in the stocks for a photo opportunity, saw performances of Native American drumming and hoop dancing and learned about everything from spinning wool thread to print pressing copies of the Declaration of Independence on hand made paper.
Grant Iverson, also known as “Wounded Wolf,” consistently drew curious spectators at the event where he was forming lead bullets from metal scraps. He chatted with the passers-by about the melting temperature of lead – 620 degrees – and its boiling point – 850 degrees – while molding shiny spheres over a small fire.
Colonial Days continues on Monday, along with Freedom Days, the Balloon Festival and the Grand Parade. For more information on event locations and times visit http://www.freedomfestival.org.

JR -- Thank you so mcuh for gathering all these wonderful press articles and videos last night. I was soooooo tired from a day at the lake -- too much sun, water and a little wine 😉 that I could not stay up to see these last night.
Up early this morning to see this performance and David was outstanding! I love his new band and think they all work together better than any other band he has had.
Gah! Off to watch them all one more time.
RALPH -- yes I hope the Imagine issue is laid to rest for good.
CUTTER -- glorious, glorious indeed! chill-inducing rendition. Utah’s pride of their hometown boy must have grown considerably since last night 🙂

I still remember when she first met him shortly after Idol. She was being interviewed at a radio station not knowing that David was standing right behind her. She jumped and screamed when he tapped her on the shoulder, lol.
Thanks JR!! I still don’t think you sleep…..and we are rewarded time after time, year after year!! Won’t be long and you will see David in person VIP and all. No one deserves it more.
I was just asking if anyone had a clip of David’s NA @ age 12 and Up a line pops in the program. David’s NA has me and I’m sure others believing in Miracles!! Thank God for David’s voice and spirit!!
His little talk before the medley was so heartfelt about the true meaning of the Holiday and an expression of appreciation for the Hometown troops of 141 and military worldwide!!
The Medley was otherworldly and chill, tear inducing.
Nice to have two songs from each album and a Highlight of girls dancing during Stomping the Roses all the while holding roses!!

A recap from Universe BYU EDU
Patriotic performances illuminate Stadium of Fire
Jul 03, 2011 by Brooke Ward
Even before the fireworks went off, the 31st annual Stadium of Fire was ablaze with pride and patriotism as nearly 50,000 gathered in celebration of country and honor.
Hosted by former Cougar and NFL tight end Chad Lewis, the festivities started on Saturday with a commemoration of the Civil War and a dramatic musical interpretation of the Gettysburg address, followed by the chorus’ rendition of “Proud to be an American” as the flag was brought into the stadium by parachuters.
The event, broadcast live to U.S. troops around the world through the American Forces network, also provided an opportunity to remember those still fighting to protect the great American ideals.
“The greatest casualty of war is being forgotten,” said Lewis, quoting a soldier he summated Mount Kilimanjaro with earlier this year. “Tonight we honor all those in Afghanistan and Iraq.”
The national anthem began with a video of then 13-year old David Archuleta’s 2003 performance at the Stadium of Fire. Then Archuleta emerged to finish, aided by the pyrotechnic dramatization of bombs bursting in air.
Donned in patriotic plaid, Archuleta retook the stage a short while later amidst a roar of audience appreciation.
“It’s crazy how many there are of you guys out there,” Archuleta told the crowd as he thanked them for all the support they’ve shown. “I love being home.”
Archuleta’s short set included a handful of songs from his two studio albums, and a special dedication to the troops that earned him a standing ovation.
Thunder, unheard since the football season, filled the stands as the stadium lights were brought down for Brad Paisley’s entrance. On their feet before he even hit the stage, the crowd got right into Paisley’s set, dancing and singing along.
Although not very talkative on stage, Paisley paused to honor the servicemen overseas, and wish the audience a happy Fourth of July weekend.
“It’s nice to see all your smiling faces,” Paisley said. “I’m so happy to be here. God gave us a great night for a concert.”
In less than an hour on stage, Paisley was able to give the audience a mere smattering of favorite hits from his musical catalog, and left them wanting more in all the right ways.
“He’s a consummate professional,” said Jenny Long, who came from Colorado for the show. “I could have listened to him all night.”
BYU graduate Stephen Jones was also on hand to help bring an end to the five-month search for the Stadium of Fire’s first annual talent contest winners. Drawn from more than 400 entries, three finalists had the opportunity to perform on the Stadium of Fire stage, including BYU’s own alt-rock garage band The Whits and 11-year old Eve Asplund of Farmington, who was out to prove that she has a musical future as sparkly as the sequined shirt that she wore on stage.
Voters overwhelmed the text messaging system, forcing Jones and Lewis to think quickly.
“Let’s hear it for breaking the system,” Jones joked with the audience as Lewis pulled out a decibel meter to determine the winner “the old fashioned way,” by volume of cheers. A few deafening moments later, age, experience and honest-to-goodness country music won out, and Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band were $10,000 richer.
Capping off the evening was “America’s largest stadium fireworks show,” a half hour of tightly timed explosions of light and color set to popular and dramatic music.
By the end, it was impossible to pinpoint a favorite part, said 5-year-old Brooks Udy, a second-time Stadium of Fire attendee.
“Everything was too good,” Udy said. “It was better than Disneyland.”
However, the show was not without it’s minor glitches — the skydiver carrying the flag toppled onto the field after catching his feet on a barrier and firefighters had to rush to stamp out a small fire in the stands behind the stage as Archuleta sang about stomping the roses — but still produced a patriotic feeling among attendees.
“I’m not even from the United States and I feel like a proud American tonight,” said Rhys Clarke, a visitor from England. “The way that Americans demonstrate their patriotism is so special and unique.”
Cedar City’s Brian Brown said recognizing Independence Day is all about the liberties enjoyed in America, and how they were achieved.
“For me, the Fourth of July means freedom and sacrifice,” Brown said. “Celebrating like this just brings up the emotions.”
For Moriah Ihler of Malad, Idaho, one of more than 1,000 Stadium of Fire dancers, the evening even provided a glimpse into her potential future.
“I want to be a Cougarette,” explained Ihler, 17. “Yesterday was a long day. We spent a good 12 hours outside rehearsing, but this was just incredible. Just to be on this field dancing gave me that extra push.”
The night also included a tribute to the 2010-2011 BYU men’s basketball team, which Lewis pointed out ranked No. 1 nationally for the combination of winning percentage and graduation rate, and coach Dave Rose. In his six years with the team, Rose has amassed 159 wins and just 45 losses.
“And he beat pancreatic cancer while he was at it,” Lewis said.
The tribute included a special video message from Jimmer Fredette, thanking his former coach and teammates, several of whom were in the audience.
“It was nice to have him be a part of this, even though he’s in Sacramento,” said former teammate Brock Zylstra, who enjoyed the show with his wife.”This was my first time at Stadium of Fire and I loved it. Back home we watch the fireworks in a high school football field. This display was probably 10 times better.”
Another warning alert! 😀

SF -- as always, i love you amiga 🙂
DESERTRAT -- waaaahhhh. Why does he have to be so… so… gah!
MadeToBeNow is Blown Away by David -- read on and find out why 🙂
David Archuleta rocks at the Stadium of Fire!
Although there was no doubt in my mind that David can sing well live after watching his season of American Idol, I have to say I was blown away by the way his voice has developed since then and when he performed at the Stadium of Fire he assure that people would notice this, and they did!
Even when David was the opening act for Brad Paisley, I just couldn’t care less about the other guy, honestly I just watched David’s performance and I wished he had done more songs or maybe he could’ve sing the just released Everything And More!
Anyways, he did a lot of songs (ALTNOY, The Other Side Of Down, Stomping Roses…) and you can see he put his heart on the performance, as always! Here is David performing at the Stadium of Fire! Enjoy!

JR Yes it’s 11:30 p.m(CST) daylight savings time here and 12:30p.m. there. Just my way of acknowledging all that you do. Have spent the day viewing videos and blog hopping! Hated that Nadal lost! Have a great day.
ok DESERTRAT-- YOU DID WARN US!!!
02 STR -- A DIFFERENT ANGLE -- thanks to amskiurts
Am thoroughly entertained by the dancers, LOL. They were actually holding roses! I cannot imagine what David must be thinking during rehearsals, LOL
Please be warned of the next thread 😉
LOL, came back here. DWTS has made me a convert to singing and dancing, at least the kind where the messages are similar and all participants skilled. The “Rose Stompers” look like a school dance squad and (imo) were a fun addition especially at this venue. I think the band enjoyed the “scenery”, David was too busy tearing the song up!
Your turns coming JR!! Do you dance?
Hi Portia!
Yup our turn’s coming up. Do I dance? Not professionally. But I doubt I would have the nerve to dance like that in front of David.
I mean, it is already hard talking normally in front of him!
But I can always dance the salsa and the swing with him. That’ll be the day!
