Center Stage

Last night David took center stage at RootsTech 2015, a Family History conference held in Salt Lake City each year. Fans have been waiting a long time to see a performance by David that didn’t include Christmas songs! (Although, we love those, too!) First, David released the long-awaited Spanish Video that was shot in Costa Rica last fall. The song was written by David, in collaboration with Alex Menesio, and filmed by the Family History group to encourage young Latinos to get involved in their own family history. Love hearing David sing in Spanish!   Next David sang a song by Justin Timberlake, called Mirror.   Want to hear David talk for a while (I […]

Concert – Layton – 9-19-2015

David had the flu, his voice was almost gone – like he had to recite the lyrics to MKOP! But am sure the fans regarded that as a treat by itself! So they had to stop and cancel the show. But after some time, David came from his break and said he really wanted to do the songs that mean a lot and tell his message. He sang some more songs, one of which was not part of the original setlist — Bridge Over Troubled Water — this from a guy who sick and could barely sing! BONUS TREAT – A CHRISTMAS CONCERT TOUR CONFIRMED! With the concert cut short, the […]

Jennifer Barry Gave Us Her Gift

With great sadness, we mourn the loss of one of the most giving people in the Archie fanbase. Jennifer Leigh Barry shared her gift of photography with all of us. Several times in the past we featured Jennifer’s photos, and an article she wrote as a guest writer, here on TDC. It is likely that many of the articles here have a picture taken by Jennifer. We will miss her and her generous heart. May 13, 2009  Images & Art: Jennifer Barry July 10, 2009 The Jennifer Barry Photobook July 21, 2009 Oh, My, New Photos!

Always Something There to Remind Me of @DavidArchie

I walk along the city streets, you used to walk along (with me) And every step I take reminds me of just how we it used to be Oh, how can I forget you, when there is Always something there to remind me Always something there to remind me OK, this has been a terribly busy work week for me. Hardly had time to go online and properly do my Archu duties! But even if focused at work and harriedly going about my mum choirs, memories of @DavidArchie manage to sneak up at the oddest hours! Like when I was driving home after doing the groceries, where would I find myself? Driving by the last […]

David Archuleta… Here & There

Sightings of David is fast becoming to be event-like! The picture above – which has that ethereal quality – was posted by Lynda Oaks of Betty’s Cafe in Basin, Utah. Pop-singer Archuleta pays visit to Basin Betty’s Cafe head chef Lynda Oaks held up a menu that former American Idol contestant and soon-to-be missionary David Archuleta signed on his stop in Vernal on Thursday. Two back-to-back M&G, separated by a re-routing road scheme due to the taping of Bourne Legacy and you bet there’s bound to be bedlam in the metropolis! The Archuletor was SOMETHING ELSE! If some quarters have not been bitten by the Archu-BUG, this twin-set of M&G should do it. Am telling you, David was in his element. He looked so happy. HAWT! ROCKIN’! and SUPER ADORABLE! Ain’t No Sunshine When He’s Gone…

Sunshine seems to follow David Archuleta. Or is it the other way around – that David brings sunshine wherever he goes? Cos that was surely the case when he was here in Manila. July being known as a typhoon month in these parts, Manila Archies were a bit concerned. But upon David’s arrival on the 17th, the lovely Manila skies opened up to greet him with the warmest of all reception. And as you can see in the July weather calendar below, it stayed that way throughout his visit Then as he left Manila’s area of responsibility shortly before noon on the 21st, the sunny skies suddenly […]
