There is no one I can thank more than my Father in Heaven. He is my light, and illuminates those hard paths to take so that I know how to get through them. Some people may not understand why I have made the decisions I have chosen to make, but that is the reason why I made this album. I did my best to let people understand where I try to come from through this album.
The next group I’d like to thank are the very talented arrangers/producers/musicians. Kurt Bestor and John Hancock, thank you for having such great attitudes about this. I know it has been alot to handle in such a small amount of time, but you guys have been such troopers. John with your cool choices and ideas you always keep things interesting. And for Kurt, your humor always gets to me. The heart you bring to a song is magical. This would not have been possible without the two of you. I also want to thank Mike Green and Blair for helping out in the studio.
I’d like to thank Gina Orr for helping make things happen, and keeping me in the direction that I feel good about. Thanks for always being caring in how things are done and decisions are made. Also thanks to Kari Sellards for your hard work, helping me stay on track and keeping on top of things. It makes things so much easier to get through with an easy-going personality like yours. Thanks for helping me make sure I have everything I need, too! I also want to thank Jon Hunt for helping me finish up more music. It’s been awesome getting to work on music with you and you’ve helped me be able to stick to who I am not just as a person, but also musically as an artist. Thanks to Steves Rodriguez, Howard Siegel and Kim Tauber for helping things run smoothly, and to the DA official website team, and Roslyn Pineda for all that you do for me. I want to thank my family for being willing to listen and give their input and for being my best supporters.

We first fell in love with David Archuleta when he was on American Idol! He has such an amazing voice and a great future ahead of him. My hubby and I enjoy slow dancing to his music. We have also been listening to it in the car when we are on the go. David’s new CD BEGIN is awesome and perfect for all ages!

This afternoon, Archuleta Phils & ARCH (Angels Reaching out w/ Caring Hearts) delivered the goods @TV5Manila for its Flood Relief Drive.
Special thanks to @heidijoy, @haroldcpim & @FanScene for their generous donations. All in all we brought 16 boxes of bottled water, 10 boxes of easy-to-open/ready-to-eat canned goods & 8 boxes/bags of old clothes/shoes/towels/etc…

What’s new: A new album from David Archuleta
“BEGIN.” by David Archuleta, Highway Records, $14.99
Before he departed on his mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, singer David Archuleta recorded one more album.
That album, “Begin,” was recently released by Highway Records and is now available in stores.
“I hope you know that I never wanted to leave you guys without music, and will continue when I get back,” Archuleta wrote in a thank you to fans that came with the CD.
Archuleta hand-picked each song for this release with the hope of inspiring listeners. The album features several popular songs, such as “Angel,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “In the Name of Love.” Also included is a never-before-heard song that was written by Archuleta, titled “Broken.” The last song on the CD, “Be Still, My Soul,” will please Latter-day Saint fans.
Producer Kurt Bestor said he was impressed with how Archuleta made each song his own.
“Fans will love hearing David in a brand-new way, while others will gain a deeper appreciation for this incredibly talented young man,” Bestor said. “A voice like David Archuleta’s comes along so rarely, that in my more than 30 years of arranging and producing for singers, I have only met a couple that even come close.”

I have talked to Manager at WalMart, Best Buy and Barnes and Noble several times on trips here in Davenport, Iowa.
WalMart managers say they have no control since CD’s supplied by a Third Party who also doesn’t have control. Such is the nature of CD sales now days. I bought the two they had and was assured at least that those would definitely be replaced within a Week.
Barnes and Noble had two which I bought and the manager said they would be replaced. Went back they have 4 on order due in today. Manager said last week when he checked there were 1000 in the Warehouse which is now down to 200. He said he will call me as soon as they come in and will try and get more.
Best Buy says theirs are on back order due to popular demand and if ordered on line from store or Computer, they will deliver to your front door.
Kind of fun to promote David and all Managers were very cordial and impressed to hear his story. Told them fans are out promoting since he can’t do it himself etc etc.
Keep us posted on how it does in the Phillipines etc. JR. Know you have all been busy with Flood etc.
Aww, Heidi -- you are a good promoter! I suspect that David and his team didn’t think there would be so many sales, and didn’t produce as many CD’s. Perhaps that is why they are so lightly distributed. We’ll have to see how the sales continue.
I wonder, too, about those 1 Million twitter followers -- why don’t they buy a CD? Sheesh!

Archuleta Philis has kicked off a BEGIN Gifting Campaign as well.Twitted it earlier. The tentative launch for BEGIN in Manila via AstroPlus is on the 25th. Details will be announced tonight (Manila time).
So if some Archies are willing or interested to gift physical CDs to Archienoys, it may be more sound if the CDs are bought from Manila, awarded during the launch. That should save time & shipping cost. As previously practiced, they can send the gifting via paypal at ditasy@gmail.com
