In Memoriam – Prayer of the Children
Today, tragedy struck in Connecticut, taking 20 children and 6 adults away from their families and loved ones. It is so hard to understand how something like this can happen. Why innocent children were struck down so heartlessly.
And whenever I need some comfort, a soothing voice to still my internal raging and sorrow, I can count on looking for music from David. David has a special place in his heart for children; he has given of himself to countless charities that impact children specifically.
This special song, written by Kurt Bestor, seems to be the most closely aligned to what we all might be feeling today. God bless the children.

MARLIE -- I went to bed heart broken with this news. When I woke up, I thought it was just a dream cos didn’t a similar thing happened?
It is bad enough that you want to kill yourself. But to include innocent victims along the way?
And is it true that reporters are interviewing children????
So sad
Love hearing David’s heartfelt “Prayer of the Children” and “Broken” indeed offer comfort.
Hope they can do something about Gun Control.
Praying for the Community. Can’t even imagine the Pain and Loss.
JR -- so sad! Yes, they have interviewed some children with their parent’s permission.
It is incomprehensible that someone could shoot little children. I’m just so totally unable to process that. He also shot and killed his mother before he went to the school. She was a teacher there. And the guns he used were registered to her. Very crazy stuff there. I’m sure it will be uncovered in the days to come.
As the news on the shooting unfold and more and more details are slooowwwllly revealed…we learn that it’s the mother whas a collection of guns -- apparently where the suicidal killer got his ammunition.
Oh, well. I wonder what will it take for the US to really ban guns? I realize that this involves an array of issues but tragedies such as this? At what price? Sadder still, it’s the innocents who pay the price…
SOUND OF SILENCE
